Spend $40- GET $5 Spend $80- GET $10 Spend $120- GET $40 Totals are calculated over the two week period and Cat prints at end of promo. Max of $40... This is one of those totals are calculated after doubling/tripling but before manu coupons. There are going to be some good coupon match-ups to make this a sweet deal and there are also 2 other promotion to double dip from.... The Gm cereal deal that runs through 6/27 where you buy 3 get a free milk...Cheerios 14oz will be on locked in savings for 2/$5 (this week's cheerios are 8.9 oz, so technically the bigger box is a percentage of a penny cheaper per oz) and don't require you buy 2 to get the sale price. SO, if you have any cheerios qs left you can get these around $1.50/box and earn the points for the ONYO promo and earn the free milk. Also, if you have signed up for the SHoprite Family plan, a lot of these products count toward your points with that plan! These sales take some serious planning (more than my average trip), but last time I made out really well on the Unilever and GM buy $50 get $25 back. I think I spent like $5 for all of my groceries that week! and boy did I stock up!

Thank you for the heads up. I am wondering if they count shelf price or sale price. Can you or someone tell me? Maddy |

Im confused doubling and tripling of what if the total is before manufacturers coupons. Do u mean before the store doubles your coupons? Im sorry if this sounds stupid. Thanks! |

The best I can try is a couple examples of what I believe they mean by this rule. If I buy a Kraft BBQ for 89c and use a 75c coupon, my coupon will double making the sauce free, but only the manufacturer's portion of the coupon will count toward my total for the promo. If I buy KNorr Sides on sale for 4/$5 and use (2) 75c/2 coupons. I will pay $2/4 sides, but since these coupons doubled as well, the total qualifying toward the promo will be $3.50 (the doubling portion of my coupons won't count, so the $5 purchase price minus the $1.50 of the coupon that was doubling). I hope that makes sense and helps a little.

In other words, whatever money SR actually gets for the product is what counts towards the promo, right? They get reimbursed for the face value of the coupons, but not the doubling. They only collect money for the sale price of the item. So if a $4 item is on sale for $3 and you have a $.50 q that is doubled, you get $3-$.50 credit towards the promo, or $2.50. Even though you only paid $2 for the item. |

I'm a newbie to AFC but not to couponing. Here's another way to explain: Shoprite "pays" the doubled part of the coupon - to itself. Shoprite eats the cost of the doubles, does not get reimbursed by the mfg. So you get credit for the price you actually paid plus the FACE VALUE of the coupon. Example: I pay 80c for peanutbutter after doubled coupon, used a 40c coupon, so you get credit for $1.20- actual payment plus face value |

Ok, I understand this promo. Spending $40 to get $5 is not worth the work, but I am intrigued in the attempt to get $40 for spending $120. If my math is correct. In essence I will get $160 worth of groceries for $120, provided 120 are items that qualify. Now if I can coupon that down to about $80 or less out of pocket, i think the wife will understand blowing the food budget a little. I need the Shoprite Ad in front of me and then can start ordering up some valuable coupons. Hmmm, 48 boxes of cheerios, at $2.50 a box = $120 Minus 48 $1 off coupons and thats just $72 out of pocket for $160. My dogs cholesterol will be real low after living off all that cereal for a few months. Ok. Looking up ad online. Nabisco Single Serve Cookies $2.99(save $2.50) Limit 4 per variety 6/21 SS 75 cents off. Out of pocket $1.49, $2.24 towards promo A1 steak sauce $2.99 minus $2 off coupon from ?, 99 cents out of pocket. $2.99 towards promo. |

It's like the 'doubled' part is part of a sale price, an extra cents off provided by the store, and the face value of the coupon is part of what you 'paid'.

I wonder who makes Bumble Bee. The free Bumble Bee could help towards it as well and there's no doubling/figuring involved!

In fact, you shouldn't need to spend $120 at all. For instance, this week toothpaste is free after coupon (fac), so you take the amount you spent - Zero and add the FACE VALUE of the coupon, $.99, so you get to add $1 for each tp you buy and it only costs you tax. If you get 10 coupons, that's $10 towards your $120; now rinse and repeat with other items you can use. Your oop (out of pocket), should be somewhere around $40-$50 and you'll get back $40 to spend on other things with coupons - like maybe knorr sides - $3.50 as Noellebrow mentioned. I've done it in past years and it can be done - with planning. BTW, Skippy peanut butter counts. Happy calculating |

My DH just said: you've almost got it, but you're basing The Deal (spend $120) on your pre-coupon price for OOP. Don't forget to deduct the face value of your coupons from the $120 Happy calculating |

Kool aid: 50 cents off 10 packs, plus a $2.00 off Sugar coupon supposedly in the 6/21 inserts, makes that pretty sweet :-) Have $2.00 off meat(tear pad found at pathmark) when you Buy 1 Kraft dressing (77cents after coupon), and 2 BBQ, miracle whip, mayo, or dressing. Have 2 $1 off BBQ's, so those are free. Math says: 77 cents out of pocket will get me $3.54 plus $2 off meat. Didn't realize free toothpaste was counting towards total for promo. Will try to get to the $120 over the two week period, instead of all in one day. |

Back from massive Coupon shopping trip, only one thing wasn't coupon item. $79.10 couponed down t $38. Got $2 back on Snausages, and $5 off next order(guess I had enough of qualifying items. On receipt it says "your free grocery points $56.51. Will have to order off ebay some nabisco cookie coupons since none came locally. I used the $2.00 off sugar when buying 10 kool aid packets.(50 cent coupon double for those) $1.49 for kool aids and 5lb bag of sugar. Used the $2.00 off meat when buying the kraft dressing and 2 BBQ sauces. Acutally got overage on the Kraft bbq sauces. Finally plugged in fridge in garage to start storing all this stuff. Was over charged 5 bottles of suave shampoo. Got that back as cash. |

Down here at the Shop Rite in Brick NJ it seems that the full price of the item is going towards your Grocery Points total My total yesterday was 32.61 today I bought 4 Suave at 1.09 each (before price plus ) the WHOLE 1.09 WAS ADDED TO MY TOTAL times 4 for a new total of 36.97 The coupons did not figure into it at ALL even though my final cost was nothing---(.50 doubled on each bottle) so I paid only tax and increased my Points by 4.36!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I went today and got some items. From my totals it's calculating the sale price before PP discount for the items, not the shelf price. I'm about $22 oop for far and I have $55 towards the deal. I splurged on the Polly string cheese, it broke my cheap little heart to pay $4.99 for it, but I love it and there wasn't any on sale so most brands were comparable in price! I got a lot of items we use on a regular basis or will use now that we have it........LOL I ordered some BBQ coupons off of ebay, hoping to get up there with those coupons, I'll be doing BBQ and Suave to finish up the deal, can't wait to see whats next week, may be tempted to do the deal again next week using my moms card! My sister went today and had a nightmare of a time. She did one big order, not knowing how it was going to calculate, she was shocked to pay $50 and have $117 towards the deal, she then went and spent a few more dollars and nothing ever printed for her, it took a while but the ended up giving her $40 store credit. Oh btw, on my $55 before q order on the bottom of my receipt is the $5 coupon for getting past the $40 mark. Where are the 50c suave coupons from, the only 50 cents I have are for mens shampoo and that stuff isn't on sale, they are like $2.49 or something! |

| Yes, it is supposed to be working on ANY, but there have been some glitches. I read on HCW that the YoCrunch yogurts were not programmed correctly. And some items are counting at sale prices - Fiber One cereal and Cheerios for example. FIber one is a triple dip - buy 4 FIber one cereal, get 1 FIber one chewy bars free, add two Cheerios or other GM cereal, get a catalina for 2 free milks, and they all count towards the $120. (I did that order and saw that just the sale prices were added to my total - the great part is that it added the Fiber One bars to the amount towards the $120 even though they were free.) If anyone wants to trade for the Milk catalinas (exp 7/5) let me know, we don't drink milk |

I did finish the deal, most stuff did count at shelf prices. I ended up paying 55.56 for the $120 worth of groceries (after coupons and sale prices- and I had some good coupons!) and got the $40 off, so a net of $15.56 for 4 Bertolli 5 cheese sauce (0.60 coupons doubled) 8 SKippy (0.40 coupons) 4 Planters Big Nut snack (0.75 coupons doubled) 1 Planters Peanuts ($1 printable) 5 Cheerios (coupons for one free, rest had no coupons) 10 Fiber One cereal (coupons for 1.10 off one that I traded for) 2 FIber One toaster pastries (coupons for 1.50 off packages a while ago) 3 Fiber One chewy bars (Free after the Fiber one deal) 10 Knorr Rice N Sauce (0.75/2 coupons) 1 Wishbone Spritzer ($1 coupon) I can't respond to PMs about the milk untl I get my posts up..... |

I did this deal today, too! Was very easy! Most things (if not all) calculated at shelf price, so if they're on sale & you have a Q, you can get to the $120 very quickly & painlessly. |
