I went this morning to the Shopper's in Crofton - I ended up putting back a lot of stuff. The manager came over and said that company policy is not to triple IPs, the max value they will give for an IP coupon is .99 cents. Has anyone else encountered this?

They also were really looking at the coupons. If they said do not double or triple, the cashier went to manually adjust them so they would not. I let her do one that way, but they started with fives and would have tripled, so I put all that stuff back.

Very unsatisfying trip. If your store isn't doing this, can you post your location. I much prefer Shopper's over HT and am considering driving farther. Was really looking forward to stocking up baking goods for Christmas.

I haven't had this problem I'm sorry All mine are tripling and they even checked with the manager... maybe try another store if you have one near you.. sorry

At my stores it depends on the manager. If I ask at Customer Service they are very clear that their policy towards IPs is that they will take a dollar maximum off the order and do not honor those for free products.

I didn't have this problem in Westminster, Md on Thursday when I went. Ip's were tripled just like the others and they weren't looking for DND's either. Sorry you had a bad trip.

I went yesterday and had the same problem as you. They had to manually triple my coupons which took forever and scrutinized every one. HT is so much easier & faster.

All is well - I went to the next closest store and had no problems. It's just a pain when the closest one is only five minutes away. I did leave a message for customer service about the store refusing to triple IPs and told that was deceptive advertising and asked them to call back. It will be interesting to see if they do.

I just went to the Gainesville, VA location. They did triple my IP's up to 99 cents, but would not take any IP's over $1 (I had $1.50 off a Hormel meat thing) because they said they get a lot of fraudulent ones. I haven't been to Shoppers in about a year because Wegman's opened up nearby, and I won't be returning to SFW any time soon. Almost every single item we normally buy is more expensive than Wegmans!

I only shop at SFW when they have good coupon promotions. I agree, normal prices are too expensive. But, free is free, and they have the Sunday Double Deal on the newspapers - 2 for $1.80. Not bad when there are good q's and i want several copies.
