No, you can't at Shopper's - but you CAN use them at Superfresh. Superfresh advertises they take "all competitor's coupons" so I tested it and brought a Giant cat to them - and they accepted it.

Actually, yes you can. If you look at the coupon, it says that it was a manufacturer coupon, not a store coupon. It reads "redeem at Safeway" but that doesn't mean that you have to. If it said "redeem only at Safeway" or "Only redeamable at Safeway" then that would be different. I use my catalina's everywhere- Target, CVS and other grocery stores too. If they give you a hard time, call the manager. Just because Shoppers printed it doesn't mean it's a store coupon. It's still a manufacturer coupon.

I asked when I went today and was told no...I probably should have shown her one because she might have thought I was talking about a competitor's q.

I have tried it (a Safeway Cat) and my SFW said no.

Clearly it is a YMMV. I've never been able to redeem a cat at a different store - except at Superfresh, and they just take the dollar value off your total - they don't actually scan it.

Well if you point out to them that it CLEARLY states that it'a a "manufacturer coupon" right next to the expiration date, they should not give you a problem. Sometimes you have to actually take the time to explain it. Plus, if it scans on their system, which it WILL, then they should know for sure it's a manufacturer coupon because if it were another store coupon, it would not work.

| If you ask them to try to scan it, it will work.
