| 12-18-08 Lunchtime Shoppers Trip - No toothpaste adjustment
Juicy Juice drink boxes are $2 so use the $1 coupon if you have it from the Synders pretzel insert from a while back Garlic Toast is $2 so use the .50 coupon and get it for .50 Steamfresh veggies are $1.00 use the buy 3 get a $1 so instead of $3 it will be $1 for 3 Swanson beef broth - 2.99 - use the $1 so it is .99 (big one) Motts Tots juice 2.89 - use the $1 coupon so it is .89 Those are just some of them. I was NOT able to get the toothpaste b/c they would not price adjust the one penny even after I pointed out to them that it was from their flyer. I was told to buy some other toothpaste. Not very good customer service at the Shoppers in Franconia, VA. Maybe I will try College Park MD during the week where I live. |

My second trip today was much better. I went to the SFW in Glen Burnie. It seemed nicer than my regular SFW. Wholly Guacamole was $2.99 b1G1 free used $1/1 =.99 for 2 I don't know if I could have used 2 $1 off Qs but I was too chicken to try. Blistex Strawberry lemon was 4/$5 used .25/1 Q = .58 No-nonsense socks $1.99 used $1/1 Q = free Melba toast 2 for $3 used $1 off 2 =.50 each Tylenol warming liquids %5.95 used $1 Q = $3.95 (I have a cold sigh!) Gatorade powder $3.09 used $1/1 Q = $1.09 for 8 packets Minute Maid Brown Rice $2.19 used $1/1 Q = .19 Near East Pilaf $2 used $.50/1 IP = .50 and a lot of the stuff already posted, chinet plates, tall cups and crystal cut cups, Pringles chips, Dunkin Hines frosting etc. I only bought one item without a Q --Utz Tortilla chips (to go with the wholly guacamole) for $2.50. Overall total came to $93.69 before Qs and $28.76 after Qs. I could not wipe the grin off my face as I left. ![]() They had troubles with my checkout. The cashier had to get help and the manager said that their system could not handle too many Qs. I only had 33. Overall total came to $93.69 before Qs and $28.76 after Qs. I could not wipe the grin off my face as I left.

Ya earned the right to repeat such a great deal! Thank you for sharing! BTW, I know that SFW your talking about in Glen Burnie. I love that SFW, so new, so bright, so well stocked! I could never resist stopping there when I go to "another" store for triples right up the street on Glendale Road. I'm going back tomorrow morning. OH and if you happen to go to CVS check the frig. case for tear pads for Pepsi Max 20 oz. bottles for .50/1! They will all be free.

I did well. Better than at Superfresh Triples. Highlights: FiberOne toaster pastries $2.19 - .70 q doubled to 1.40 = .49 Betty Crocker mashed potatoes 2.19 - .35 triples = .84 Minute Rice 2 boxes $4.20 - 1.00 q doubled to 2. = 2.20 for 2 Apple Jacks cereal $3.39 - $1 doubled to 2 = 1.39 Progresso chicken broth $2.89- $1 doubled to 2 = .89 Hanover frozen vegetables 2 for $3 - $1 on 2 doubled to 2 = 1 Eggo French toast $2.59 - .75 doubled to 1.50 = 1.09 PLaytex tampons $4.79 - $1 doubled to $2 = 2.79 Reynolds foil $3.79 - $1 doubled to 2 = 1.79 I saved about $60 using coupons today. Not bad, for me. $190 grocery bill for $124. AND I met a really nice guy in the dairy aisle who loved my binder. We talked coupons for several minutes and he was inspired to go home and make a binder for himself! Yes, I also gave him afullcup.com... AND I found they carry Zote soap, the kind foggy uses in her homemade laundry soap. I used Fels-Naptha in my last batch and didn't like the scent too well. Zote is citrusy-lemony. I bought several bars.

| closest I got to "fresh" fruit was the chiquita apple bites - on sale for 3.59 with 1.00 (printable)x2 so 1.59. The are good for dds lunches. It doesn't seem like there are many for fresh produce and most that I have seen have to buy other stuff too that we don't use so I pass on them.

I simply could not resist a last run. I got a 6 of the 40 oz. Hanover canned beans (.78 each) , 6 each of Hanover Gold and Silver Line veggies (.50 each) and a few green Giant veggies. My store looked like it was picked clean. No more Johnsonville sausages--I got Bob Evans at .50 more. When I came home I realized I had not used my Domino Sugar Qs. I hope they do one again before my Qs expire!
