Sick of their "coupon policy"

I swear, every time I go into SNS, there is something ELSE about my coupons that won't work or that they won't accept.

Tonight, it was "as store policy, we don't accept coupons for free items."

My dad works at SNS... the Prairie Farms rep gave him some coupons for free items. Dad uses them at his store all the time, but they don't eat cottage cheese, so he gives those to me.

I have used these tons of times with NO issue at all. At this specific store.

AND- here's the kicker- just last week, they had coupons AT THE SERVICE DESK for free Rice a Roni of you bought Hillshire Farms smoked sausage. AND I USED 2 OF THEM!!! *gasp*

I have emailed them from their website THREE times trying to get something back about their coupon policy so I can stop being embarrassed at the stores when I shop. I can't get any response. I am going to call Monday morning and be a total meanie to them. This is just ridiculous.

Last week, several of my $1.00 off coupons rang in at 0.89. Really? Their answer was that "coupons can't be used for more than 50% of the retail value of the item." BUT THE ITEMS WERE ON SALE FOR 2.00!!!

GAAETTGGJKLJLKSJDF!!!! I am so sick of them.

rant over

ojyllek, really sorry to hear of your trouble. The worst I have ever gotten from Shop 'n Save is a manager always having to approve my IPs, which takes extra time. But, they always do accept them. If you are able to try a different store you may have better luck.

I did get a response from Super Value (their parent company) that directed me to their internet coupon policy on their website, which isn't even what I was asking about.
But, I am quite simmered down about it now.
I love SNS and I don't want to leave them. I just have to remember to ask for a manager next time.

I used to be a forum leader for Shop n SAve on here and I remember that part of their Coupon Policy was that they would not accept IPs for Free items, but nothing was stated in that policy about accepting Free Coupons from other sources, so please let us know when you get an answer as I know that many times we have "Buy X, get X Free" Qs that come out in the paper like the Soft Scrub or Febreeze ones that were out recently!

Someone doesn't know what they're talking about! What about the Hillshire Farms deal, where they had manufacturer's coupons at the register for FREE sausage when you bought 4 12-packs? That's a coupon for a free item. Not only that, they advertised the deal in their flyer!

I just called the Fairmont WV store and asked about the double coupons that are advertised on their web site, since none of them state any actual limits.
$0.49 !! and below are doubled and everything else is at face value.
I just wonder, has ANYONE EVER SEEN A COUPON FOR .49 ??
Fairmont is somewhat of a "Ritzy Area" (THEY SEEM TO THINK!)
I guess I should just be happy that they take ANY coupons.

BTW, the owners of these stores in Fairmont, ALSO own SAV-A-LOT stores and BP gas stations. What a gimmick.

BEST TO ALL
steve
