Bought 6 Cascadian Farm granola bars. PSP at my store was $4.79! PSP total was $28.74. I used 3 $1/2 MQs, so PSP after coupons was $25.74, OOP was $12. NO CAT for me ![]() I'm going to work out a scenario that will meet the $25 based on sale price and after coupons only because I lost a freezer full of veggies with hurricane Irene with 3 days with no power. Looks like my days of Shaes deals is over!

Has anyone ever contacted Catalina for a cat they didn't get? I've read other places that people do this successfully, but I was wondering if and how it worked.

Yes, I've contacted Catalina in the past and have generally gotten the Cats. You can either call or email. You'll need to have your receipt handy. The details are in the Cat thread that's stickied above, I believe.

Oh, that's weird. The thread I was thinking of used to be stuck at the top. Well, the info is around somewhere...

My first transaction--not a success: 5 Total Whole Grain PSP: $27.45 OOP: 5.50 No $10 Cat, though I did get an MQ for $2/5 GM cereals To add insult to injury, I didn't notice until I got home that the expiration date on three of the five boxes is November 20 of this year. I might return the three boxes and keep the other two. Or I might call Catalina. Thoughts?

Or I might wait until the store restocks (I took the last five boxes) and do an exchange. Yeah, I like this idea best.

I'm thinking I might call the Cat people. No where in the flyer does it say if its based on PSP or SP, only mentions coupons. I met the $25 total after MQs so I was thinking I may have a shot.

When calling Catalina, I don't bother getting into a discussion of PSP vs. SP. The only prices they seem to have access to are the regular shelf prices. One CS person insisted that the deal was based on sales prices, but when I asked him what the sales prices were for each item I bought, he rattled off the PSPs.

Mgr at Windham, ME told me tonight that it is SP and after coupons before you will get the $10 CAT. My transactions didn't work as they were PSP less coupons below the mark. Hopefully we'll get this figured out soon.

I did 12 transactions today, all based on sale prices. 9 produced the cat, and for the other 3, the FEM had cats to hand out to people when it didn't work. All of mine that didn't work involved frozen veggies. Total OOP was $53.90 for 28 cake mix 28 frosting 28 granola bars 71 frozen veggies 12 brownie mix 11 cookie mix 10 potatoes 8 Lipton iced tea 2 crest toothpaste Also, look out for tear pads for Lipton ice tea. It's $.50/1 bottle of iced tea, and they're on sale for$1. Makes them free!!! |

Jen, did you do it sale price AFTER coupons or before? meaning did you do $25 then hand your coupons over, or was it $25 after coupons were deducted?

I did the deal today and added sale prices. I was just over $25 and my cat printed before the last item was wrung in. So I'm guessing it would've worked on psp. I got 2 cheerios, 1 lucky charms, 2 cake mix, 2 frosting, 1 cookie mix, 1 flour, and 2 pie crusts. I had heard the pie crusts were not working but I needed them so that's why I spent the $25 sale price in case I had to go to cs.

rumors elsewhere in the couponing lands is that they believe the psp's haven't been update with catalina and with the way shaw's has been playing with shelf prices it may be hard to figure psps to 25 at each store. I've been watching because i was interesting in some frozen veggies but i don't have time for a headache. I'll just wait til sns does a good veggie sale.

Has anyone done this deal in Nashua Nh or Burlington, Ma? I'm still trying to figure out how to do this deal. I don't want to miss out because it has tons of items I would like to stock up on. This deal has my head spinning with all of the confusion.

Ugh... unsuccessful run even on sale prices. I bought: (4) Toaster Strudel (strawberry, apple, strawberry cream cheese) (8) Yoplait (reg strawberry & mountain blueberry, thick & creamy strawberry, orange) (2) Cheese Totinos Pizza Rolls (12) GG Frozen Veggies (Niblets, peas, peas & onions, broccoli, carrots w/honey glaze) Total Sale price: $26.80 Used coupons: (2) $.60/2 Toaster Strudel, (4) $1/4 GG, (1) $.50/8 Yoplait, (1) $.50/2 Totinos. After coupons: $18.40. Of course they argued that it was after coupons.... so I'll just call Catalina on Tuesday and they can mail me the $10. |

![]() I am planning to do a couple of transactions at $25 based on Sale Price, and then use coupons. If it doesn't work the first time, I suppose I'll have a back-up plan :/ TIA

I did four transactions on Sunday. I just made sure my total's were $25 SALE price. Coupons did not effect the cat at all. And I rolled my cat.. got it each time. this was at the Dover store. Not as good as the past but hey. Still cheap.
