My husband went to Shaws and his scenario didn't double. Has anyone else had this happen? Is the doubling over?

I had the scenarios all figured out for him. They should have worked. He actually did two different scenarios...so twice today the catalina didn't double when it should have. That's why I'm wondering if it has stopped doubling.

I'm not sure exactly what was on them but most likely cereal, soup, toaster strudels and cake mix. All stuff that has worked before.

I havent heard anything. Im such a neeny though When I hear stuff like that I chicken out. I think im done for the night anyways. My daughter asked me to cuddle and I cant really refuse her. What kind of a mom I would be?

I also went tonight and mine didn't double either. I got all stuff that I got yesterday and had no problems doubleing with. Maybe I got the wrong kind of soup, but I don't think so. I also didn't scan my Shaws card until after I scanned all the item to make sure it was over $60. (someone on here gave me the idea to do that so thank you. Sorry I can't remember your name.)

my friend and i got back an hour ago and we did loads of transactions today, singles, doubles and triples and ALL worked FINE!

I just got back and mine doubled fine! I know I screwed up yesterday once because I hit $60 but that included the tax at the register and I was really about .30 short! oops
I also did not have a cat produce after buying the bisquick so the manager pushed it through. Only a few soups were marked at my Shaws-
Italian Wedding
Chicken Noodle
Hearty Chicken noodle
Low Sodium chicken noodle
Clam Chowder
Corn Chowder

All worked

MIne were doubling all afternoon. I would suspect one of three culprits.
1. A shelf price has changed to a lower amount than you calculated
2. The cashier missed an item. One can of soup, could throw the whole thing off.
3. The machine ran out of paper. This happened to me the other day. Fortunately the CSM forced a cat for me.
The idea of waiting until the items are scanned to give the cashier your card is a good one. I did that once today because my total was close. She was a little annoyed because I asked her to scan first but my total was 30.33. I'm glad I checked.

I don't have any stores that double. Not even Kmart doubles or triples here.
I wish, if they did wow i would save some major money

That's where I went wrong. I was counting tax as part of the shelf price. My total was 6.74 so I thought I was safe, but that was with tax. Now I know for next time. Thank you.

Mine didn't double either. And the manager agreed that I had everythign that was required but stated she couldn't do anything about it.

Maybe what the guy at catalina told me is true. He said it was up to the individual stores. Somehow, i don't believe him. But there is one store near me where I would never risk trying the double. I don't think it would just suddenly stop in the middle of the sale either.
I am also wondering if it's based on the total you spend or if the computer separates. What I mean is can an item count for both a 30 and another 30? Like if you bought 10 Breyers for 5.99 each and then bought one cake mix your psp would be over 60 but would divide into 29.95 and 31.94. Does anyone know the answer to this?

Shaw's in Windham and Auburn still double as long as the coupon does not say"do not double or triple".
