I haven't had a chance to scan the ad for next week yet, but I was excited when I saw that Shaws has a coupon on the front page for "Buy a Roast and get free carrots, onions and potatos!"

This is my favorite type of deal at Shaws (besides Cat deals LOL). I've been wondering when they will do it again. I couldn't wait to tell everyone!!!

Yeah.. Time to dig out the crock pot:

Here you go: (added Q info for fun)

Mix 2 cans cream of mushroom (get it at walgreens with Qs)
With 1 cup water
1 pk Lipton dry soup mix (Deal from a few months ago at Shaw's)
I added a few garlic cloves diced .. and some white wine (optional) - use overage to get garlic - wine .. well. can't help you there!

mix. add in carrots and potatoes and roast. ( prefer the carrots and potatoes to be free- tastes better that way!!)

Cook for 3-4 hours on high or 8-9 hours on low. If you check it 1/2 way through and think it's tough.. just leave it. It'll fall apart by the time it's done!!

Bottom of the round usually goes on sale for$1.99 a pound so the $2.99 is a little high. If you can combine the joint juice deal and stick to a 3lb roast then you can get a roast, potatoes, onions, carrots for .97 cents. Not bad. Isn't there a $1 off coupon on potatoes in the Back to School shaw's booklet. I wonder........

For those unfamiliar. Next week the Joint juice will be $1 a bottle so that means with the $5 off coupon and the $10 cat. You have $8 to play with.

Can we keep the posts updated with if the store has the joint juice when you go to do your deals?? I think it will help everyone. I haven't gone out today, but NP and Johnston were both wiped out last night. I think NP had 3 left on the shelf, but Johnston didn't have 1! Hopefully they'll get some in since the "sale" actually starts tomorrow. Remember to get rainchecks if they don't have them!!!!!

He said the roast does not have to be 3lbs or over, My friend bought a 1 1/2 pound roast (that was pushing it, I thought) and the free vegtables worked fine, Don't forget to use the $1.00 coupon for roast and $1.00 for potatoes. Hand the $1.00 off potatos coupon first then the free vegtables. The $1 roast and potatoe coupon is in the Back to school book that Shaws had. Work it with Joint Juice and it's a cheap meal!!

I bought the pork roast (tenderloin) on sale for $2.99# bought one that was priced @ $4.04 so what is that a little over a pound? well the free potatoes,carrots and onions worked great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was able to use both the $3 and $1 beef Cats, the $1 off shaws Q for beef, as well as the $1 off potatoe Shaws q! Plus the McCormick seasoning bags were on sale and there was a Man Q for them as well. Really cheap roast and free veggies- my crock pot was cooking last night!

OMG! I made this tonight and everyone loved it! I'm not a crockpot girl, but this will entice me to pull it out more often. I followed your recipe and added fresh mushrooms and got rave reviews. Thanks!
