| If you were to use the .55/1 Reese coupon at Shaw's, wouldn't it double, the overage would go towards the rest of your order and you still get free candy? Thanks! |

If the original price of something is at least the amount of the coupon or more, then yes, you should get the overage on it. If the coupon is for $.55 and it starts with a 5 on the barcode - then it would double. If the coupon says DND (do not double) and starts with a 5 - then it may or may not double if the cashier presses the do not double button. If the coupon starts with a 9 then it will not double regardless!! I don't know what coupon you are talking about - but if the coupon is for $.55/1 and starts with a 5 and doesn't say DND - then it would double to $1.10 off the reese. If the Reese is normally $1.25 but on sale for $1 then you'll get the $.10 overage. If the Reese is always $1.00 then the coupon will only double up to the $1.00 I hope I didn't confuse you more!

Usually it does double and you will get the difference but I have noticed lately here at my shaws that the coupon will only double for the cost of the item. So say if the candy was $1 and the coupon was .55 off it would only take off the $1.

A neighbor gave me 4 extra inserts this weekend, so I have a LOT of those coupons. There will be a ton of candy in my house coming up soon |

I have about 28 of these coupons... as well as the $1/2 Snickers... The children who come here for Halloween are going to be pretty happy!

These regularly sell for .89 so the coupon only took off .89 today-not complaining though. Free is free.

I just bought some to put aside for halloween candy-- here's hoping bags get cheap, especially with 1.10 taken off. I also got some of the bogo ones for dh, hoping someone has a good bogo sale to go with them.

I just used 6 tonight. They were $.89 each, so the coupon doubled up to the $.89. FYI, they have the double packs for $1. Next time I'll get those and get the $.05 overage since they're like $1.29 full price.

I generally use all the Halloween candy deals and the qs that always seem to come out about now to stock up for the rest of the year for the candy dish I keep on my desk at work...it's amazing how many people are willing to do work when there's candy....

You should be able to use both. The .55/1 would apply to the one you're paying for. I've combined in the past, but of course, ymmv on this.

I just got back from Shaws the eight packs are on sale for $1.25 so after coupon they end up being .15 cents they are a little bit smaller .55oz. a peice (4.4oz package)compared to 1.50 oz. for the single pack but still ends up being a good deal.

| I did the same thing today! I bought 2 packs. I thought $0.30 for 16 PB cups was a pretty good deal...and they would be perfect for Halloween.
