I have to sit down to dinner but I wanted to let you all know that I just got back from Shaw's and the BTFE catalina worked tonight (3 times, with paper towels and garbage bags). The current catalina did not print. I got snak packs, ketchup and peanut butter. I know I had enough because I went through SCO and didn't scan my card until I put all the items through. I went to customer service and the woman pushed enough ketchup through to produce the catalina. So, we probably know that ketchup works but I'm not so sure about the PB and pudding.
I'll come back with details later but I have to run and wanted to post this much in case someone was headed out to shop.

Wow, if these items are not working I may pass on them. Although I'll be shopping next week instead of Sat. Maybe they will have the problem fixed by then?

i thought there was going to be a thread about problems with the cat as a whole -- maybe it's the morningstar thread??
i called catalina a while ago and the rep said they are being flooded with calls today...all sorts of issues with this cat.

OK, I'm back. This is what I did tonight. it is all one transaction but I will break it down by catalina. First,
BTFE: Scott Long Lasting 4 pack 2 x 7.99 (orig 9.99) + Kleenex 1.99- 4.00 in coupons= 13.97oop. I didn't roll a catalina because I was going through SCO and I was in a hurry. I got a $5 cat +50 boxtops.

Kraft (good thru Sunday): Maxwell 5.77 + Starbucks 5.77 + Nabisco variety packs 2 x 4.99 = 21.52 (shelf 30.96)-5.50Qs= 16.02 plus I got the 2 large boxes of cereal (3.33 off for each one) and a $5 cat. Again, I could have rolled a cat to make the oop less but I was in a hurry.

For the current deal: Hunts snak packs 9 x 1.00 + ketchup 5 x 2.00 + peter pan PB 2.00= 16 - $5Q= 9oop but no cat back. The shelf would have been $25.30. The CS woman rang up $50 worth of ketchup and it produced 2 $5 cats. Is it possible the ketchup is running off sale price?

Also, I found the Austin crackers for $1, so got 2 8pks and 2 cantaloupes for $1.98.
Also, the chicken breast was still running for .99/# "while supplies last".

Then, I went back in because I saw Hefty Gripper Tall kitchen garbage bags reduced 50%. Originally 4.69 ea, I got 5 for 2.35 ea. The total was 11.70 and I received a $5 cat plus 50 boxtops. I did this twice. They were on an endcap of of the trash bag aisle.

I will definately check AFC before shopping on Tues. I'm just sorry to hear about all the cat issues going on.

Hmmm... I haven't had much time to check the forums so I had no idea there were issues with this cat. I did it twice today- I got Miniwheats in all different flavors, Raisin Bran, Morningstar Black Bean Burgers, Ketchup, Hunt's tomatoes with mild chiles, Wesson Canola Oil, Pam w/ Olive oil- all of it worked no problem.

Just curious, what was your total OOP before sale, after sale and which Qs did you use. Wondering what helped you to get the CAT? Thanks

I'd be interested in this as well. I'm hearing the black bean isn't working, so wondering if you hit the $25 pre sale without that in your transaction???

I heard the peanut butter isn't working either, but it hasn't been tested on all kinds (I don't think).

I know the MS chicken patties, veggie crumbles, sausage links, and bacon all work. I also got the popcorn (all different ones) and they worked along with the Fleishmans Margarine!

I was going to report about the Austin crackers, but it looks like you beat me to it!! Pretty good deal I think - especially when you need a filler to use the $10 cats to roll for another $10!!

We did about 8 transactions tonight. The only problem we ran into was the peanut butter. It wouldn't spit out the cat. The cust serv folks gave us the cat anyway. LOVE those folks in Tilton!
We bought ketchup, morningstar, pam, snak pack, OR popcorn. They all went by shelf price. Got about $300 in groceries for about $30.

I didn't see any info on this in the CAT thread. How many do you have to purchase to generate the coupon?

This transaction was part of the Box Tops cat, which, at my store, was working on the 21st, one day after the advertised end day for that catalina deal. I am going this morning to try it again so I will post back whether it worked or not.
Anyway, the shelf price before clearance was $4.69 so I bought 5 for a total of 23.45 (the cat deal was buy $20, get $5). I could have gotten 4 for 18.76 and a small filler for a lower oop but I was in a hurry. The clearance price of 2.35 made the oop $11.75 but it still generated the cat. HTH

I should have known something was up with the Hefty kitchen bags...I saw 2 Shaw's employees rush over and snag all the boxes for themselves the other day. Or maybe, they saw me coming and wanted to beat me to it. They win, this time. Although, I have to pay for city trash bags so I probably wouldn't have gotten them anyway.

i talked with catalina today about the many issues i had with the conagra deal---they said many of the upc's i bought were not participating items.

i bought exactly what was pictured in the shaw's flyer in 3 separate transactions and did not get any cats. of course, shaw's told me i bought the right items, but not enough of them bc the cat is based on sale prices (which we know is usually not the case---but, the ketchup is based on the sale price this week at my store). so confusing. grrr....

i'm going to round up some of the stuff and return it today. i'm not returning all of it, bc there were many items i needed to stock up on, and i with the q's i used, i'm ok with what i paid.

so frustrating.

I did six Morningstar today... 4 crumble, 1 Chix patty, 1 tomato and basil... I used the self-checkout and 6 of the .75 Qs (they doubled)... CAT printed out just fine.

momfrommaine, I did the garbage bag transaction again today and it produced the catalina so, at my store at least, the BTFE catalina is still working. It might be worth a try at your store, too.
I also did a transaction with 3 canola oil and 8 chef boyardee and it produced the $10 worth of cats.

i bought 5 rice krispies and 4 keebler fudge shoppe and did not get the cat and the SALE price was over $25...something there isn't working as well. For the cookies I got the ones the ad stated (or at the sizes as it didn't state particulars except it said "fudge shoppe."

Hi, So the cat wouldn't print for me either. I bought 3 morningstar- 2 nuggets and 1 garden burger, rice krispies, manwich, and 2 popcorn. A manager came over and just rang up enough Rice Krispies for me to print the cat. He said that some things just aren't rining up. THankfully he helped! I think i will try again later in the week, but am curious to hear what ones are working for others. Thanks!
