Last week when I was doing triple deals on the Unilever/GM, I qualified for gas rewards even though I didn't spend $50 oop. Gas appears to be based on the oop plus manufacturer's coupons amount. (except for items that don't count like tobacco, alcohol, etc.) If a coupon doubles at Shaw's, the double amount falls under store coupon. Also, I had two slips last week that had a negative subtotal, were over $50.00 in MFG coupons, but it did not print the Gas Rewards message. However, when I got my gas, I got a reward on those purchases too.

I saved 50 cents a gal last week! Did you know you can go to override.com and set up an account and you will be able to see how many points you have and when they expire.

Me too~~ I saved .50 a gallon when I filled up on Sunday all due to working that CAT deal last week. It saved me over $9 in gas! YAY!

I have to get gas this weekend sometime and Override says I get a $.90 discount. All of that ALL detergent!

I think it will only let you use up to 50 cents at one time.

yep! We found that out today. I filled my minivan up and used $.50 off... and DH filled his car up and used $.40. Not a bad deal at all!

How does it work? Does it use the shaws card or do you need a special account?

you can use either the override card (if you have one), or the shaws card. It goes into the gas pump just like a credit card and if gives you the discount.

I have NOT had my big shaws card before and pumped gas.. then went in and they put the number into their machine and just gave me back the difference in cash.

I saved $5- at the gas station this am... which when you have a 22 gallon tank is very helpful, it bought more Sunday papers for me

I got a list of local stations that are participating and will fill up my tank on Tuesday...TY!!!

At the station nearest to me, I had to prepay inside with my keytag card because I didn't have the big card...and of course I'm no good at estimating what it's going to take to fill up my tank so I lost out on a couple of gallons of savings...I'm definitely going to hunt down my big card for my next fill up.

I saved $1.20 per gallon this week! I've heard of people getting up to $2 per gallon off - so I don't think there is a limit.

Really? I've had it limit me to 50 cents/gal a couple times and I think it even says that on the override web site.
