It took a few days for a reply but I finally got one tonight and wanted to pass it on to all of you...I was happy that I gave her the chance to fix things verses calling corporate...I hope that things will really be different now I especially like the nickel part This is getting printed off and kept in my binder in case of future problems...Melissa I was quite upset when I heard that you had another unpleasant experience in the store the other night. I can appreciate your diligence in using coupons to reduce your shopping order. In this day and economy, many many people use coupons and other means to get the best possible deal when they shop. With my own family, I will often use coupons to stretch my dollars as far as possible. Shaw's will honor all coupons so long as the customer meets the purchase requirement of the coupon. If you happen to have lots of coupons, so long as you meet those requirements, Shaw's will honor them. We are reimbursed for all coupons by the manufacturer that are processed properly and if that means you only pay a nickel for your order after proper coupon usage, so be it. I spoke with the Customer Service Specialist for the region and he reaffirmed this policy. As for the pm closer that you dealt with that night, she remembers your transaction and realizes now that she put you in an embarrassing situation. She was trying to do what she thought was right because she had dealt with a couple of coupon 'abusers' that travel store to store, taking advantage of the system. Even though these people are out there, she shouldn't have assumed you were 'guilty until proven innocent' and she now knows now that in this situation, she must first presume innocence. I would like to send you a gift card so you could try again, if possible, to have a pleasant shopping experience in my store. If you could let me know your address, I would gratefully send you the card in tomorrow's mail. I apologize for the unpleasant shopping experience and hope that you'll give us a chance. WTG!!! I am so happy that you heard from the manager. That was a very nice letter she sent you. I hope from now on you'll have better luck at your Shaws.

Nice! It's always great to get a response like that back. It's too bad that others (scammers) ruin coupons for the rest of us sometimes though...

I love that this is a "personal" response, by that I mean you can tell when reading this that she means it and it's not some email that goes out to everyone w/ a complaint WTG to you and to this manager on her great customer service skills!!! |

Thanks everyone...yes I thought this was such a great email from her, I really appreciated getting this it had really made my day yesterday and just gave me such a feeling of relief knowing that she took the time and made this email personal.. I still gotta figure out the oyno thing but atleast I know I shouldnt be harrased everytime I go in anymore |

Kudos to you for giving the store manager a chance to make it right with you and kudos to the manager for doing you a solid. Here's to hoping that when you go in to spend your gift card the experience is enjoyable!!

Sounds like the store manager is a real person and truley understands her customers needs. Now you should call corporate and tell them how pleased you are with with your store manager.

I did call them yesterday they said they were going to pass it on to the store director to her...I didnt tell them I had a problem at that store, I just said I had contacted her and how great she was...
