I was just in to Shaw's to pick up a few things for vacation. I had 4 B1G1 coupons for flavored water. Since it was on sale also, I was getting a good deal. They refused my coupons saying they were no longer accepting any "free" item coupons printed off the internet. I printed them from coupons.com, so I know they were valid......but is this some new policy?

I read somewhere that some stores wouldn't take any completely free IPs, but they still said they were taking ones that were B1G1s....

I agree. I was told by a manager that they will not take any internet printed "free" items but B1/G1 free should be accepted.

I guess like so many other posts I read, it depends upon the clerk and his/her mood and interpretation of the store's coupon policy. It just frustrated me as I'm extremely careful not to try and use qs that I deem "shady" looking or haven't found at a reputable site.

But I think I'll try again and see what happens!

That has been the policy at my Shaw's all along; no free items with an IP. At least they are taking IP's, a few years ago it was no IP's. So I'll take what I can get!
