Muir Glen has been marked down 50% before but it varied by store. It was even better when the IP was still valid...I have tons of cans left. I haven't seen any markdowns around here lately. BTW..the Culinary Circle crackers are $1.99 but only .99 if you have the $1q of any Culinary Circle from the holiday book.

I've tried that but they wouldn't do it at the stores that I've gone to.

I went to Shaws 3 times today. First I went to the Warwick store this morning and got the last 5 soft GUM toothbrushes they had (why do they still make medium and hard when dentists all say use the soft?). One of them rang up wrong at 2.99 but they overrode it when I pointed out the ad doesn't say "select varieties". The cashier was impressed and said she needed to start shopping with me so I told her about afullcup. Then on the way home I stopped in the same Shaws and got a bunch of stuff. 15 jars Muir glen 2 bags croutons 1 head lettuce 1 bunch bananas 1 seatles best coffee 1 baglefuls (free with the coffee using a tearpad) 6 pkg yeast 2 packets Idahoan potatos (By the way, these are 10/$10 and there are 75 cent printables. I will go add it to the matchups. I just happened to have a couple coupons I got on a train and figured I would check the price) I think thats it, I may be forgetting something. My total was 57 before coupons and under 20 after. The casheir and the lady behind me were excited about it and I told them about afullcup too. The casheir said the other day a woman bought 20 of the advil 10 ct and had 20 coupons and got them all free. I wonder if it was someone from AFC. I really like the Warwick store. More tearpads, better attitudes about coupons, and they let you use a $5/50 based on the total before coupons, unlike the Cranston store. I did have to get a rain check for toothbrushes. Then I went to the Cranston store to grab some tooth brushes. They had a lot but since most of my coupons were 75 cents and they only double 6 I just grabbed 8 of them. Two of them rang up 2.99! I pointed out in the ad where it doesn't say select varieties but they wouldn't override it. They made the bagger go check for a shelf tag and she couldn't find one so I asked her to grab two that were on sale and she did. This held up the line for 5 minutes. I would have taken it up at the customer service desk but they did have more of the ones that were ringing up correctly. I also got an egg nog and after coupons and holiday bucks and 50 cent OYNOs from the yeast paid only 15 cents OOP.

I had such a funny experience at Shaws this afternoon. I forgot to have the cashier scan my card, so everything rang up full price (I was wondering why my bill was so high!). I went to customer service afraid they would have to rescan my whole order, but apparently the register is smart and at the bottom of the receipt it says what you would have saved if you used your card, so she put that amount back on my credit card. Get into the parking lot and realize there were 7 coupons I forgot to hand the cashier, so back to customer service I go and she ended up giving me more than $14 in cash for the coupons! Now I know why it's dangerous to try to do anything involving thinking on Christmas Eve! Merry Christmas... CTSunshine
