When my daughter was 1&1/2 years old she had a hemispherectomy (1/2 her brain removed) after the surgeon finished he came out to tell us she was doing great and I saw a halo floating over his head, it followed him right thru the doorway ducking to enter the room floating over his head. talking about gifts I met a lady years ago during a medical convention and she told me, "did you know your third eye is open?" I was livid, I didn't know how to react/what to say. Then my friends started teasing, "come on, use it for the board exams!" or "they're wealthy because they won the lotto and kept it a secret!"

I know I have a "strong gut feel" about people and I stay away from those that spell t-r-o-u-b-l-e and 100% of the time, I've been proven right on the dot. that's why I trust my gut feel but I don't want to develop it further to the point of "seeing" the future.

How do your teens handle your gift?

I believe in this, when my grandpa was dying two years ago (gosh its been two years already) the day before he died he got what they called a sudden burst of energy. He was up and talking and reading the paper again in the hospital. He remembered all of us. It was the best day we had with him in the month he was in the hospital. But what made me really believe was between our conversations with him, he would just look off into the area where the wall meets the ceiling and he would just talk in jibberish, just as if he was carrying on a conversation with someone. It was until after he died we figured he must of been talking to my aunt and uncle that passed away 10 years ago. He was ready to go then. Since he died I have seen him several times through out his house and sitting in his car, that he thought me to drive in.

They call me a freak, LOL! They know better then to lie to me, and I often call them out on stuff they don't have a clue I am in on. On the same hand, I get shocked as heck when they do something screwy, like all teenagers do! We watch a lot of football and I once correctly called the end score before the game started. "You're just a freak Mom, just a freak!" says my son.

My daughter is also really psychic and I am completely connected to her. When she is away from me and gets ill or flips out over something, I feel everything so I know to expect a call soon.

They are used to it in a way, they know that I get really bad psychic headaches and know that there are "spirits" in our house all time. Nothing too freaky ever happens, lights flicker a lot, and appliances buzz, things get moved around but it is not scary in the least. There are orbs in every picture we take, they think it's kinda cool.

They didn't want their friends to know, but everyone is pretty cool with it. FOr the most part we are a normal coupon clipping, tennis playing, You Tube surfing family. Except the part that I'm a freak, LOL!

I have a hilarious story about Wags I'll post a little later.

I have a parent teacher conference so can not read allthe psts now- so I hoep I am not asking a question that has already been asked- I intend to read all posts in this thread though when I can. I have a question. I have seen people in my house- and not thought they were good- someone came at me once with a knife- not sure if I was dreaming- do not think I was. I have seen someone in hubbys bathroom looking in the mirror- just looking at himself. I had a man in an orange shirt approach me while I was in bed- I closed my eyes, THese all happen at night and wake me- family says I am dreaming...I do not agree, albeit weird. I ahve heard my DH name be called in the middle of the night by a man's voice. I have herad my name be called several years ago by a mans voice- was not scary though. I have no control over what I see. I have also "seen" things happen before they happen. The loss of loved ones. I saw my friends babys funeral- before her son was ever born, he did live for 4 months and then he passed. I woke up with a knowing my grandmother was going to die- she did that night (she had been sick, but was doing so much better). It was not a thought- it was clear and I knew with no doubt that she was going to pass. I told my friend I had a dream her dog died...next day it did. I saw my neighbors hubby get killed by a tractor trailor- saw him get hit- but in the dream he was changing a tire and was crushed between his truck and another. He did get killed a few months later by being crushed but it was between a loading dock and a red truck (truck was red in dream too). I told hima nd his family to please be careful- figured it was just a dream, but felt compelled to tell him not to change a tire if on expressway in his truck- he promised me he wouldn't...he was a wonderful man- I was devastaed when I heard the new...I cry as I write this. SOme people feel this is a gift- and I think God gives me this , although I can not control it to help me be there when friends need someone to be there for them. It is hard for me (I should say, I never told my friend I saw the funeral of her child) I di dhowever tell a mutual friend to pray for her- and years later I told her. All of my family says it is Satan- I just want to know how to be bale to understand it all, and use it for good to help my loved ones. It can be scary for me. THat is why I believe that the people I see are real. My son saw soemone in my house when he was 3- said it was a "Mummy Ghost" in our kitchen- when I teased him and asked if she walked to the fridge and ate our food he looked at me completly innocent and said "mommy she did not have feet- she went into the floor to the basement". HE also saw people swinging on the swingset at the church the day my grandfatehr was buried. My DH notice d the swings were swinging VERY VERY high - as high as my son. My son then 4 broke out and laughter and told my hubby that his grandfatehr and Noah from the bible were swinging with him. (He was in the church and saw my grandfatehr in the casket and did not want to see hiom and wanted to go swing). Please, tell me I am not crazy- is there anything I can do to help me understand why I see strange people, but not loved ones. I only see things before they happen or when I see people they are no one I know. THey also come to my usually in a blue like color- but kind of transparent..I know it is odd. ALso, once I woke up and my "SON" was standing over me IN my bed looking down on me but he was a blue like figure. I was confused and did not feel like I was sleeping- I closed my eyes and he was gone- is this astral projection? I do not have anyone to ask and people think I am crazy when I do tell them- including family. My mom prays over my home.My DD and DH have never seen anything- son no longer sees anything- he is now almost 8. THank you for any insight you may have! Feel free to pm me if you would like- would love to chat if you ever have a moment. I have also had strange people that have come up to me and said things- one woman came to me and told me that GOd sent her to tell me I am blessed- that waws at a yard sale- I wanted to get away from her- it kind of made me uncomfortabel- the day before that a woman told me the same thing- nothing has happened since then though.

Why don't I see the people I have lost that I cared about- Is it because that scares me? I would love to see...I think, my grandmotehr my neighbors husband, my grandfather , my friend troy. But I never see them- just strangers in my house, and why are they blue!!??

Hi Lala---I'm so sorry to hear that. I know it must be like adding insult to injury to have something so tragic happen when things weren't perfect to start with. I'm sure your Dad is looking out over you and your family, especially today, it's All Souls Day, just a day to remember our loved ones and invite them to share in our life.

Awesome thread! Alternative spirituality has always been my calling, but it's so looked down upon that I never tell anyone what I really believe. I guess I'm more of a person who gets vibes all the time. I'm good at defusing negative situations because I can connect with different types of people. I have these fantastic dreams (not every night) that I know I should write down but am too lazy. When I do write them down and get them interpreted they guide me on my life path so much. Before the 911 attacks happened I had this awful nightmare. I was so afraid. It was black and it seemed like the 4th of July. I kept seeing what I thought were fireworks. There were black helicopters flying around and the Statue of Liberty was so huge. It seemed like this dream lasted forever. I was so happy to wake up. Probably a week later the 911 attacks occured. I realized a few months after that that I had dreamed about the whole thing before it happened! Another strange thing that happened to me was I was in Dollar General one day looking for animal crackers. I couldn't find them for the life of me. I was standing in the cookie aisle about to leave when a box of animal crackers fell off the bottom shelf. Now the entire row was stocked extremely neatly. There was no way in the world the box was teetering on that shelf. I knew a spirit knocked it off for me. I was so grateful and maybe a little creeped out too! I've probably read almost every new age book there is. I've finally found what I've been missing though. It's great to have that peace of mind now. Thanks for sharing what you do. Wow, cool stories! I never knew that vivid dreams were a sign of being psychic, but my whole life I've always woken up remembering 3-4 dreams every night, in great detail. Often, they do prove to be pre-cognizant! I was really worried too, about telling anyone I was a medium, fearing they would think I was some kind of freak or way out there on the religious tight rope, but the truth is, spirituality is not religion. It's just realizing that we are more then just a human body here for the day....spirituality CAN mesh with just about any religion, lifestyle or belief system. I have found the healthiest, most balanced thing to do is just be open to everyone's beliefs and opinions. We are all entitled to find the truth that woks best for us. Most of my fears turned out to be just that, FEARS.....so many people believe in this. I'm thankful for that because it helps me just as much as it helps you. Being a medium isn't a choice, it is just who I am, and it has very little to do with predicting the future and everything to do with staying connected to people you love.
