| Do you know what Schnucks coupon Policy Is? I am posting this question on a few boards hoping to get an answer... Does anyone know what Schnucks coupon policy is? I have just gotten serious in the last few weeks about couponing. Via the internet I have ordered some coupons for .55 off any "Sweet Sue" Product. Right now Schnucks has Sweet Sue Chicken and beef broth on sale 2/$1. I have used 20 of these coupons on 2 separate occations at a Schnucks near me. The 2nd time was just today. I also used 7 Hunts coupons for .25 that doubled for $1 bottles of Ketchup...got'em for .50 a piece. I was so thrilled about my find that I gave my mom 20 of my Sweet Sue Coupons. This is a 70 year old lady on a fixed income that could really use them. Well, she goes to use them at her Schuncks and the cashier (probably new) questioned the number of coupons and called a Manager over. He said you could only us 24 coupons per order (she had 25 because she also had some for the ketchup and some creamer). He also stated that you are only supposed to use 1 per like item...so in essence he was saying you can buy 20 cans of broth, but can only use 1 coupon towards all of them. My mom was very embarrassed feeling like she had done something wrong...ya know all these people in line behind her staring, everyone looking. I feel so bad because I am the one who encouraged her to do this...Isn't this "How" people coupon??? I am just hoping to get some of you seasoned pro's opinions. I think I am going to contact corporate tomorrow. |

| If my memory serves me correctly, You can only use 15 coupons per checkout. They only double to a face value of .40, the other cpns over that amout just get there value, they don't add the .40 to those. They are incorrect, for each item you may use 1 coupon for, no matter if you have 15cans of soup and have a coupon for each, that is fine. If the staff would inform their employees on coupn policy and they actually take the time to READ the coupon, alot of this frustration placed on customers would be eliminated. I live in STL and used coupons last year on egg nog (10) and had 10 cpns no problem. Often times, the coupon will state that you may only use 1 coupon per item. And I believe their policy reflects the same I believe. If in doubt, go to the Service Desk and ask for a full disclosure of the policy and bring your Grocery cicular w/you. Read the bottom of the first page or rear, often time it says icon Double Coupons and specifies their policy and small detail. If you find that due to them being uncooperative, find Shop n Save. Although they don't doublecpns, they give less hassle, and the prices and service is better to boot. This is why a have slacked off w/ Schnucks, They're prices and staff suck. Also, they notice that SnS has alot of their business because they copy alot of SnS ads ex (10 items for $10) and accepting competitors coupons (SnS in particular) $10 off $50 groceries. Good luck with you and your mom. Sorry to babble...... |

| Double coupons apply to manufacturer coupons valued at 40 cents or less, limit 15 coupons. I thought I also read somewhere on their site or in their ad that there is a limit of 3 identical coupons. If I have a ton of coupons I end up making two separate trips, simply because I get tired of the hassel of using legitimate coupons. |

Thanks so much to all for the info and support. I guess in the future when I come across free after coupon deals at Schnucks I'll have to work the system. ![]() |
