Hi all, hope this is the right thread(sooo many to read/choose from!), but I have a question:
Is it Vons' policy to only double one coupon for the same item even if you have four coupons for four items?
This is what happened to me-
I had four Horizon Milk coupons for $1 off 1/2 gallon. I bought four 1/2 gallons. They only doubled one of the coupons, and gave me face value for the other three. The checker told me that they only take double off of the first coupon and "sorry"...
Does that sound right? Is it right for them to do that?

This very well may be their policy. We don't have double coupons here, but I used to shop at Ralphs (who doubles) where I used to live and they only double the first one. If it isn't for a promo, you can do seperate transactions. HTH.

Yes, Vons only doubles the first coupon of the same kind. However, if it is a different coupon for the same product, it gets doubled as well. Other AFC please correct me if wrong. Also, some checkers do not mind different transactions. HTH :-)

You're absolutely spot on about Vons/Pavilions! And Ralph's is the same.......... more's the pity

This is true, unless the cashier notices that they are for the same product and then manually PREVENTS the Q from doubling....
IE Glucerna recently.. I had $3/2 and $2/1.... only doubled the $3/2...

Also I noticed more recently that even if a qpn starts w/5, if it says anywhere "do not double" they manually override it too.

I don't mind differ tranx, but my 4 and 1 year old do !!

This is what a checker told me at my Vons. (He seemed informed about it so I didn't doubt his knowledge.)

I didn't realize this is the case at Ralphs, though! Aaahh! Oh well, since I'm fairly new to this I don't have a lot of multiples.

Thanks for that info, I didn't know that it's the same at Ralph's, too! shucks. Yeah, I'll either have to do separate transactions, or multiple visits(luckily, neither store is far from home)!
