I frequent my local Dominicks which is a Safeway store. Last night I was told that they do not accept Internet coupons. The check out lady claimed they never have and I know they used to. I asked at the service desk and the assistant manager was near and explained that they were getting so many fake internet coupons that they do not accept them at all any more. He mentioned that people were coming in with FREE coupons all the time. Does your Safeway store accept internet coupons? Is there something in writing to show that they should be honoring internet coupons? I had ONE internet coupon for $1.00 off of Tylenol, not like I was trying to get it for FREE. ![]()

i haven't tried Safeway since I was denied at Giant. I just go to Target or elsewere. Seems to be a growing trend lately, stores not accepting internet coupons. Which really puts us in a disadvantage, since so many companies are now only issuing coupons via the internet to cut their costs.

I have had no problem at Wegmans. Not sure if they are in your area or not....

It is interesting that they wouldn't accept internet coupons, since you can actually print coupons from the safeway.com site. Maybe you could bring that up at your store.

I was told a few months ago by the cashier at my Safeway that they did not take IPs- so I started using another Safeway that I knew took them. A month or so later- I was back at the old one (hey- it was closer) and used a few out of habit and they took. I guess they changed their minds about accepting them. I am sure it was because they missed little ol' me at their store and wanted to lure me back with IP use. ![]() I do agree though- if they have them posted on their website- they should accept them. At least to try them to see if they scan.

My Safeway takes them here. There are three different ones that I go to depending on what errands I'm running and have never had a problem. *knock on wood*

I am in So. Cal and shop at Vons, and they take them, as a matter of fact I just called again today, before I went down there and they said Yes as long as it scans. ![]()

Here is what I wrote to Dominicks corporate: I went to Dominicks on Geneva Rd. in Carol Stream, IL tonight and had some internet coupons (some which were printed from YOUR SITE). I was told they do not take the coupons from the internet. What is the policy on this since your site has coupons on it? I was very disappointed and ended up not purchasing several items since they would not take my coupons. Here was their reply: Dear Ms. xxxxx: Thank you for your recent correspondence regarding the Internet Coupon Policy at your local Dominick’s store. We do not accept Internet coupons. We apologize if you were inconvenienced in any way by this policy. Please realize that our policy is in no way a reflection on you our valued customer. In Dominick’s stores, we have one set policy. We accept current & expired manufacturer coupon only. We do not accept double & triple coupons on any products, or competitor's coupons. Thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback on this policy. Your comments are important to us and will be considered in our ongoing review of this issue. If you would like to discuss this further or if any of your account information needs updating, please reply to this email or call our toll free number at 1-877-723-3929 and reference contact I.D. 12582408. One of our associates will be happy to assist you. We appreciate your business and look forward to seeing you soon. Thank you for shopping at Dominick’s. Sincerely, Sandra King Customer Service Center Ummm.... ? Your site has the coupons! And no...i will not be a regular customer of Dominicks since Jewel (across the street) does accept internet coupons.

I am also in SoCal, and shop at Vons, just today as a matter of fact, and the cashier said "as long as it scans we take it" they are great! plus they double up to $1, so those internet coupons for $1 or more are great, usually ends up free!

My Randall's (South Texas) takes them. And in regards to their e-mail, my store does NOT take expireds and DOES double and triple, everyday. So maybe it isn't a corporate wide thing at all. ![]()

Weird, I guess I just assumed since they were all the same corporation, they would use the same guidelines. There I go thinking again... ![]()
