| Vons "new" policy on coupons
I thought the limit on using 3 max like coupons was annoying (I have 6 in my family) but now apparently a new policy posted by the register is only 2 like coupons are accepted. I need to take a good look at the what the posted policy says. Does anyone know? If I have to split transactions I will. This just makes it even more time consuming to shop for items I need. The stupid part is that I've shopped the same store for 24 years and my grocery money started going to the competition when the first policy went into place. Now I pick up milk, meat whatever I need in any store I happen to be in. No more loyalty and all because they wouldn't accept a reasonable amount of coupons. What's it going to be next...one coupon per person, per order? Sheesh. |

Oh my goodness, could I possibly be the only one with a store enforcing a 2 max coupon policy ?? (That is two of the same coupon, not two coupons total )

My store allows 3. Although I haven't been in for awhile...

I sympathize with you, at our Randall's they will only double/triple ONE like coupon, which really stinks because you can't take full advantage of sales that require you to buy 2 or more, or B1Gx free sales. In order to adjust I have had to make more multiple trips and transactions to use all the Q's that I want to.

no, you aren't the only one. My local Vons that I have been shopping at since 1996 is so mean about coupons and they enforce this. They also limit me to one IP coupon for the same item. It is frustrating but I follow their policy at that location. I will go to the one that is further away because they haven't ever given me a hassle with my coupons.

Mine limits to only 2 like coupons. When I found this out I asked if I could split transactions and the checkers response was "If you want to go to another register for each transaction". Nice. I'm now only shopping Vons if its a deal I can't pass up. They are losing my business because of that policy.

Just another reason I won't shop at Vons even if there is a good deal. I don't need the hassle! They really are losing customers with these lame policies.

Do the stores called Safeway have the same policy? I thought they were one and the same store or maybe it's just on this forum. (Vons is in the Safeway link) Anyone know?

Safeway and I parted ways quite a while ago, better prices elsewhere if I just plan instead of impulse buy. Now with their coupon rule.....arg |

I left Vons because of their coupon limits too! I used to shop there many years ago, but they do not have enough deals for me and I do not want to have to do six orders or drive over there everyday so it is just not worth it...

Glad to know I'm not alone. I have a $900 a month (includes H & B, pets, household) grocery budget ALL of which used to go to Vons exclusively before the three like policy. The only time I went elsewhere was during the last strike. I left b/c of loyalty to my cashiers and I came back for the same reason. Now they've got corporate insisting on these restrictive policies. WHY??? Don't they realize that they will lose business if the customer has to work too hard to shop there? Once a customer gets the hang of shopping a competitor store or stores, the original store needs to work that much harder to get the customer back. I'm not seeing that at all with Vons despite the yellow tag items and all the promos. The irritating promos buy three or more to get the lower price but then they only accept two coupons on the item. Stupid, stupid. |

I agree with everyone. Vons was my primary store but now I never shop there anymore. So sad that they are driving customers away.

I used to use e coupons to get deals at Vons. Today they blew it...they don't accept e coupons and didn't even recognize their own deals today. Probably a computer glitch....but sneaky. So...tomorrow every with a coupon/savings they did not accept goes back. And they lose a customer...if they care.
