I'm going to be in Estes Park, CO this weekend and will need to make at least one grocery run. It looked like Safeway was the best bet for deal shopping there. Can anyone tell me what the rules are for shopping at Safeway - Denver Division?? I see that I'm going to need to get a card. Can I get that when i first go in at the customer service desk? Do they double coupons? If so, up to what value? Is there a minimum purchase to use manufacturer coupons? I see that many of their store coupons require minimum purchase. Can I combine store and manufacture coupons for the same item? Will they accept "overage" (i have a coupon for $2 off crackers that are on sale for $1.99)? Any suggestions/advice is greatly appreciated! |

I have been able to use both a manu q and a store q at the same time....not too sure about overage. I am almost 100% positive that you can sign up for a card while there... In the times that I have shopped at Safeway...there has never been a minimum purchase requirement....HTH!! I am sure you can call up your Safeway and zero in on the details..

You can get the card at that service desk. I live in littleton and all of our safeways just started doubling coupons up to .50 cents.

I've not had any problems using cpns at Safeway with overage but they will, more than likely beep, so it's a ymmv thing. Safeway doubles any cpn to equal a $1 value. So $.35 cpn would be $.70, $.75 cpn would be $1. Hope that makes sense.
