I asked the manager and he said as long as the register accepted them he would accept them too. I got $8.50 off my groceries, and it's WAY easier to spend the RRs at Safeway then at Walgreens. I'm going to be doing a lot more Walgreens shopping these days!

I just asked the manager at the store I was in. I don't know that it is Safeway's policy, but it sure is worth asking!

I guess I'm really lucky I have a coupon friendly manager at my Safeway. I know there is a lot of discussion on the WAG site about using RR's elsewhere. I feel comfortable doing it, as I asked the mgr point blank if they get reimbursed. I told him if they didn't I wouldn't use them there. He said "of course we get the money".

Wow...my Safeway didn't even let me use a MQ cat from another grocery store. Granted, it was a cashier not a manager doing the transaction.

I have used them multiples times at mine without any problems! I am the self proclaimed queen of wags and have over $1000 in RR's. I have to find something to do with those suckers!

There is only so much you can buy at Walgreens!

I have gone through several lanes and several cashiers and no problems. My store has been taking them for quite a while.

You can use them on anything. I spent $32 yesterday and just kept handing over the $1 RR's (I hate rolling them!). Love getting groceries with them!!

I do know that Safeway does take competitors coupons. I checked with a really good cashier.

in SO CA Safeway is called VONS... and I called ystrdy and they too accept WAGS RR Also another store I called and they too accept Since there was nothing to roll in to my husband and I spent $38 WAG bucks on meats that we would not normally buy bc they are expensive Fun to roll but I have enough toothpaste, floss, lotion, and chapstick to cover a small country.

Was anyone lucky in Sac area? I tried different stores and none want them, at one SW the CS girl tried to scan it and it scanned properly and after she spoke to (I guess) the manager he said no if Walgreens is written on them I don't know why they are scared as soon as they see Walgreens on them and I tell them that some other part of the country do take them but it's still a no no

I spoke with my store manager I showed it to him. Showed him that it said manufacturer coupons. Then I should him that it sai Redeemable at not Redeemable ONLY at. Then lastly I showed him the address to send it into the manu for reimbursement. He said "You sold me on it" so why scanned them and they worked fine! He said he would tell all the employees to accept them!

Can't hurt to try stating your side of the story.

Contacted CS and they called my two local stores for me. Eldersburg, Md will take them but not Westminster, Md.

Strange. Wonder why one store would and the other would not. You would think it is a corporate decision not a store by store one.

Oh well I guess at least one of them takes it!!

Sacramento, CA Howe and Fair Oaks store takes RRs. I just used one there with no beeps.

My Albertson's used to take them, but told me yesterday that they don't anymore. Bummer! I guess I'll keep taking them to Safeway!

So ...........I have been trying to get my sis to start couponing more. She lives in VA and was told by a Safeway SM that they do not get reimbursed for RRS. I told her to call or email corp because I had read online that others were using them. She did and here is the email she got back today (note.according to their corporate policy this applies to all catalinas not just RRS.)

Thank you for your recent correspondence regarding the coupon policy at your local Safeway store.

Our Corporate Policy states that we do not accept Catalina coupons from other stores. For store redemption purposes, the coupons must be redeemed at the retailer that issued the coupon.
