You might double check your price through Safeway.com (go through the delivery section- click on as guest and search for hefty bags) but our local stores have the Hefty One Zip bags as 1.25 per box wyb 4. Using the Hefty coupons out there make them .25 per box.

The best thing- this deal is marked as good through October! The $1/1 coupons expire at the end of September.

Personally, I am well stocked from the deals that have been out there recently but I love knowing I can restock in a few months at a great price!

Shoot, you were faster than me. I just got home and was gonna "report" the same. I still had some blinkies. I saw the Hefty Gallon and Quart storage bags and the Gallon Freezer bags on sale "buy 4, $1.25 each". Don't know if any other Safeway has Quart Freezer bags.
Oh and we had a "Grand Reopening" of this very Safeway today. What a disappointment after hearing all the great Reopening stories over here. No extra coupons, didnt get any of the 300 (?) $25 dollar giftcards and the so called specials are not really worth writing about either.

Yep, they weren't advertised in my ad but the shelf tag said it was running through October! The $1/1 coupons were also in the 5/17 RP

I really need to stock up thanks for the heads up!! I didn't get enough when they were on sale last time so time to really stock up and get my hands on some coupons. If your in the DFW area I found the blinkie machine at Sack N Save (the one at Albie's has been empty for a while) so back to Sack N Save to get some and take them to Tom Thumb!!!

i went last night and the only ones that were $1.25 were the safeway brand bags. i had the cashier ring up 4 hefty's and they were 2.99 each no discount at the end

I went yesterday and found a tag right under the Hefty OneZip Gallon size bags 17 to a box, buy 4 and pay $1.25 each. I bought 4 and used 4 $1/1 blinkies. $.25 for one box of gallon size bags is a great price.

I got lucky! I had 9 $1 coupons and so bought 9 Hefty packages. All of these packages had a $.20 coupon attached. As I was checking out the cashier started taking the $.20 off and scanning them. I quickly said I had other coupons I preferred to use on the packages and she told me she could put both through. Of course they beeped but she pushed them through and I got 9 packages for $.05 each! This never happens to me.

Welcome Brenda. You came to the right place to learn to save money for your household and learn to stockpile.
Blinkies are little machines that spit out coupons that are usually attached to the shelves in stores. They usually hang real close to the product they are for.
Keep reading AFC, you'll get the hang of it and be saving lots of money before you know it.

I ended up getting mine free today because a cat printed out when I bought steakums, purely decadent ice cream, popsicles and 3 ears of corn for $1 off a bunch of things and one of the was $1 off your purchase of $4 or more in food storage items. It was a safeway q and combined with the $1/1 coupons they ended up being free for 4 of them!

Keep an eye out for this cat!
