| There are extra coupons in their flyer. Its a good day to go to Safeway. Its been awhile since they've done this. |

| I don't know if you guys already know this - but i just call the 1800 safeway number and ask them to add the 10% discount to my card. So I always get an extra 10% off! It's worth a 3 minute phone call to ask if they can add this promo to your card. They will put it on for a certain time period - I think mine was 2 months..... |

| I just got back from trying to get 10% off on the gift cards too and it was a no go. It was not posted anywhere in the store or in the fine print of the coupon. I bought $350 worth of gift cards too, and now I can't return them.  At least I did well with the rest of my shopping since my total was $348 making my four other bags of groceries free with a tiny bit of overage and I got 7 fuel discounts! The silver lining of my trip--and I will use all the gift cards between now and Christmas gifts... |

| When the cashier asks for your card, tell her 240-925-3531. This will give you 10% off until the 14th. |
