That totally rocked!

First, I had no idea that Vons and Safeway were the same store, or related in any way, so I have been skipping over all sorts of Safeway threads that I'm sure would have had info. that could be useful to me. IAC, I went to Vons just now, just for a small run, and saved 57%, and that included buying butter, 2 gallons of milk, and a replacement lettuce knife, which was NOT on sale (a must in our house, because it is what the preschooler uses to cut along with me, and his just broke). I got some various things, but items included:

-Frigo String Cheese (had a $2.00 coupon on this one)
-Hunt's tomatoes (found some yummy-looking new fire-roasted ones that I think I will try in chicken tortilla soup).
-Progresso Light soup (trying some of the new ones)
-Pierogies Reg. 4.39, but 1.50 oop

My big saver was the Tyson chicken, though. I bought 6 bags, it was BOGO, and then I had 6 $1 coupons. Brought them down to $2.99/bag! I figure it costs more than that for a chicken nugget happy meal!

I have never heard of a lettuce knife. Sounds like you had a successful shop. When is the sale over for the Chicken nuggets?

Today is the last day, so if you want to do it, you need to scoot. It is nuggets, tenders, and breaded patties. They are the bags, too, not the little boxes. I just added it up, and I paid $15 for what would have been $48 of chicken!
