Today I recieved two enfamil coupons from the Safeway catalina. (I don't use Enfamil and I hate that they do this!) I called Enfamil and asked them if I was able to use the catalina else where since it states it's a MFC. She looked up the info and said that it states you are "encouraged" to use it at the specified store but it does not say you must or have to. So I'm assuming it's a YMMV thing. But that's pretty cool if another store would take the catalina.

I had a Catalina from Albertson's for a salad dressing some time ago. It said Manufacture's coupon at the top, but had the Albertson's logo on it. I took it to Safeway because I do 99% of my shopping there. They wouldn't take the Catalina. I showed them that it was a manny. They said the bar code wasn't coded for them. So I told the cashier and the manager that I was going to walk across the street to albertsons so I could use it. They sad, "okay, sorry". I was shocked. I thought for sure they would honor it. If I had a better reason to Shop at albertsons I would, but it isn't that close. The Safeway is just down the street. (In this instance, I was not in my home town.) But I love the fuel discount program and I get airline miles at Safeway as well.

You should post this information from the manufacturer in the Catalina sub-forum, I believe it's under Coupon Chatter or some such. If this is legit, like it looks like it is, this will mean a whole lot more savings for us.

The last time I was on the phone with Catalina I asked them if the cats were redeemable at any other location than the issuing store and the gentleman I spoke with said no, they were only good at the issuing store even though they stated manufacturers coupon on them and that if another store accepts them then they would not be reimbursed. HTH

How weird, that goes directly against what the lady at Catalina told me, she specifically said that Catalina has no say in how they're redeemed or where they're honored either.
