 4 months into coupons and addicted like a life time smoker Hi All kinda new to coupons and tracking them down like a blood hound. I live in Springfield, Mo. and shop for the most part at Dillon's & Price Cutter's. I also work retail at a discount store. I have been with them for 8 yrs. in Oct. What has kept me with them for so long is the fact that 3 weeks before the food dates are up they mark food down to half. So by working there I also get 20% off what ever I buy. This is how I have kept my hubby and 2 teens in snacks & dry goods for the last few years. But then one day one of the managers was talking about how his wife watched a lady shopping at Dillon's get like $100.00 worth of food for $18.00 with coupons. I went home that night and started looking on my computer to see what was out there and found this site & coupon mom . 4 months later here I am saving half or more (sometimes) on real food that I don't have to worry weather it will expire before we use it. My frig. freezer is so full stuff falls out every time you open it. My box freezer is stuffed to the gills. I am laying boxes on their sides to stack stuff the full hight of my cabinets & canned goods are stacked 3 high & I can't fit another can in there if I tried. I now have had money for the fun things in life. My daughter got to go to Oz fest in Texas this month and my son got Vans instead of walmart specials for school, a new $60.00 game and a real hair cut . Not a moms buzz job. So, thank you tons for all the great idea's and help your site gives. |
