I think its much easier then wags. The deals are so, so. I feel like I buy more at ra, but that could be just because its so much easier than rolling RRs.

I like CVS most... RA is similar... But the only thing I don't like about RA is they don't round up on deals... For instance if they have a promotion spend 30 get 10up+ rewards all the items are 9.99 you buy three that's 29.97 you would have to buy a 4th item to get the promotion... So sometimes I do end up spending more oop for deals because of this...!!

is there force printing if it doesn't print properly when you reach the required amount? and how long are the timespan of expirations on ups?

They last 3weeks to a month ish...!! And no force printing...!!! You usually. Have to call CS to fix issues or sometimes managers will issue GCs for the amounts of the UP+ Also there are no rainchecs for RR or UP+... If they don't have the Items in stock at Wags and RA that's it you can get the raincheck for the price... But not the rewards...!!! So thats a bonus for CVS

In test market areas the Ups expire two weeks after the day after they print. So earn an Ups today, it expires two weeks from tomorrow. As far as starting to shop RA now, well that really depends on a lot of stuff. If you have a CVS and are looking to get into the drugstore game, try them instead. They are way hotter than RA right now. If there is only one RA and you have to drive awhile to get there, I would guess it probably wont be worth it. Drugstores tend to have a limited inventory and RA is the worst of the big 3 about special ordering. I often have to go to at least 3 RAs to complete my deal for the week. That being said you wont know until you go there and try. It could be that everyone else feels the same way and so it is a relatively untapped RA. If it were me and I were considering doing this, I would wait until there was a pretty good MMer week to get into it. this way if you find out in a couple of weeks that it wont work out because of the time it takes to get there, inventory,or whatever you wont be out much OOP. |

Rite Aid is my favorite of the 3 drugstores, but maybe because I started out there and understand it backwards and forwards, and it is close to me. I have to drive farther to get to CVS and WAGs, so if they are out of stock (which my WAGS always is) it is just a waste of gas. At CVS I find I can get maybe one or two freebies a week because of their limits. My store never has clearance, and I never get those $4/$20 coupons all the scenarios on AFC seem to include, so for me it is not that hot. At RA, they have so many different ways to save, I can always find a deal. They let you use 3 coupons on one item: a mfr q, a 48 store q, and a 49 store q. They often have good q's in their ads that you can cut out multiple times and use. They have Video Value coupons on their website that you can print from home. They sometimes have good store coupons on their Facebook page or will email them to you. They have QR coupons in some stores that you can scan onto your card with a smartphone. They have Load2Card coupons that you can also load to your card from your home computer. They have Catalina machines in some stores, so that you can earn both UPs and Cats on purchases. They have Single Check Rebates that you can get for submitting your CRT info online and they mail you a check. You can deposit the check into your account or use it to shop at their store. Also, their UPs are like cash - not considered mfr q's as they are at Wags - so you don't have to add fillers. And if you shop there enough, they give you a discount (10% after you "spend" $500 in one calendar year and 20% after you "spend" $1000). Then, they have weekly UP reward deals and monthly UP deals that sometimes double dip, and they have special UP deals like the Diabetes one where you get $10 when you spend $50 in a quarter on certain things. It all adds up to a LOT of free stuff for me!

CVS has very limiited quantity when it comes to alot of their sale items. I can go to multiple CVS stores (there are quite a few in my area) and they will all be out of stock of their sale items.I rarely have any problems at Rite Aid. The cashiers (one in particular) are nicer and very customer service oriented. If I do have an issue when it comes to UPS rewards I call customer service and it is taken care of immediately. |
