Could this possible be a just pay tax deal? after using $3 UPS? I can't read the limit, wish I had a $3 UPS haha. It almost looks like limit of 4, might be able to do something like this.

Use $3 UPS: -$3
Total: $3 + tax, Plus $3 back in UPS

This is all JMO...

I think free M and Ms come around enough that unless you are really jonesing for some or the snack mix is unbelievably good and cant be replicated with free ingredients, this is a pass as a stock up price. Although we are in between candy holidays so if you think you might buy some at full price if you didnt get in on this, you should.

There have been loads of free/ MMer Speedstick lately but that has been contingent on the BOGO coupon auto ringing in at 3.99, a fluke that cant necessarily be counted on to happen again. If you are a fan of SS this is a decent enough price to stock up on a few months worth and hope that a better deal comes along before you are out. If you arent SS loyal and have a few months of deo on hand, then this is probably a pass. Free deo comes around often enogh that there should be something along at some point soon.

The one thing I am not accounting for is are you going to be able to coupon once you start school in the fall? Even if you think you are, time may be more restricted than you realize, especially at first, so it might be best to build your supply to last you until Thanksgiving. There are sure to be some awesome BF deals that will help with a restock. Do you have a CVS? They are really hopping right now!

Thanks I'll check out the CVS deals this week and maybe we will make a trip, I think now all my ups have been rolled so I have a couple weeks before they expire. I just rolled them all today.

Thanks for the tips, I knew the SS wasn't that great of a deal since I've been reading about the MM and such. Just posted a couple little things. I probably won't get it since I personally don't use the brand.

See what CVS has , maybe I'll make my first trip there this week.

Quick Question: My grandma's card reached 260 points I believe and a 10% off your next purchase printed off. If I use this on a buy i.e.. 30get 10UPS deal would I have to make sure the total is still above the required expenditure? Or say could I buy $30.96 could I use the 10 % and then use coupons with it? Thanks

You will have to be above $30 after use of the 10% coupon. And the 10% will only be off of sale items but if the 10%is greater than the sale price you will get the 10% instead. Sale for the purposes of RA shopping means a reduced price, not just if you earn an Ups for buying the item. So if it is reg price and you earn an Ups, you could use the 10%. Some cashiers are confused about that but that is the way it works.

I am glad you took my comments in the manner that they were being offered. I had hoped I wasnt being too much of a downer, just trying to offer honest feedback of my perceptions. You are doing a great job!

Part of that may be the RA and CVS are more plentiful around here so there is more inventory to work with. I still love RA because of the SCR deals but I find myself checking CVS more than RA these days.

If you do start to shop CVS and you think you are going to be buying stuff that falls under the Beauty Club, be sure to register for that on line. BC members get $5 ECB back for every $50 they spend on BC items. Also register yourself as a girl. BC Girls get a $3 ECB on their BDay, boys dont seem to.

Also if you havent maxed out the Schick deal at RA be sure to check out the double dip opportunity. It seems to be a go. I made a post to ask our CA friends if it is working. We should only have through Tuesday to do it.

So if the price is reduced and/or I can get UPS for the product it's considered a sale item to which I can apply the 10% off? Quick sample:

Misc items OOP cost: $35 (say they qualify for the $30 for $10UPS making them sale items)
I can then apply 10%: -$3.50
Total: $31.50 (since this is still above $30 I can still get my $10 UP
Then apply coupons as normal

Thank you. No problems. Personally I feel since I've been couponing more sweets (skinny cow, m&ms, twix, etc) have been bought. I think I can wait until the candy seasons. I'm applying for a summer job at Rite-Aid so we'll see how that goes.

Yeah, I shopped at Wags like twice and the deals were so so. When I discovered RA and the UPS program I think I'll be shopping there a lot more. (My card has reached 93pts since 4/24/12. It might even be a shorter time period because my first RA trip may have been a week to a week and a half after that date.

My only problem with CVS is it's probably a 40 minute round trip. So if they have the gas points it may be worth it. If it's only ECB's it might not be as efficient. Sadly that's the same story for kmart and target. It would be awesome if they opened a store closer, but CVS would be competing with three drug stores and kmart/target competing with a super walmart

That would have to be one heck of a shopping trip to justify driving that far ! I'm planning on getting the 3Liter Waters and Maybe some Juices. I would Def Do the MnMs if I had a $1 Coupon, I haven't seen that, Does it come out this Sunday or do you know what paper it was from? I'll probably do the Cheetos and Ritz deal too. My kids being home for summer I need to cut corners everywhere, and while it would be ideal if they would just pick a cucumber from the garden and eat it for snack... odds are they won't haha so I'll just get the good deals on junk food and juice

Hey Dustin--I dont think I explained the % well. Or maybe I am not understanding the confirmation back. I am going to try it another way, hopefully that put us on the same page.


-If an item is a regular price but part of an Ups promotion it is NOT on 'sale'. You can use a % off. i.e., the Clairol Nice and Easy this week, Buy any and get $3 Up note how there is no red box 'with Wellness+ card' noted in the ad. That is usually indicative on an Up promotion on an item not offered at a sale price. Some cashiers may tell you that you cant use your % coupon on this but that isnt true. This example is not affected by the RA coupon that is offered on the same page. You would still get the % discount and then the RA coupon discount and then stilll receive the Ups. (This isnt a great deal or anything, just the first example that I ran into that was an Ups promotion without sale pricing in this ad.)

-If an item is offered at a reduced price, THAT is considered a sale. I.E., any of the items in the P and G promo this week (except single item Pantene purchase). Most things in ad will be a sale pricing. Basically any difference from RR (regular retail = shelf pricing).

-% will work on sale prices ONLY if the % off discount is greater than the sale price discount. I mention this only because some cashier may tell you it doesnt work and to save your coupon. This generally happens more with the gold 20% discount but can (and does on the rare occasion) happen with the silver or 10% discount coupons. An example would be if an item were $10.50 RR, on sale for $10. A 10% discount would bring the 10.50 item down to $9.45.


Now in the previous example let us assume a $10 Up award promotion is also running when you buy $30. The sale price would be the better deal than the 10%. The % discount would require that you purchased a 4the item in order to ear the Ups.

Now with that same example of 10.50- 10- 9.45 let us assume that there is an Up promotion of $10 offered when you buy 3. In that case the 10% off is the better deal.

I would say that the % offs affect maybe a quarter of the deals overall--sometimes to the discount holder's advantage, sometimes to the stores advantage.


A quick note about BOGO sale pricing...when you are buying pairs of items at BOGO pricing RA registers will not know you have a second item when the first is scanned. So if you have a % discount and have given the coupon or scanned the card before items are rung up it you will receive the % discount on the first item purchased. If you get a second item the discount you received on the first item will be added back on to your total and you will be given the sale item pricing on the second item but that all happens at once so it isnt really explained that way on the little CC box where you can watch the pricing. All that will be reflected on your receipt is the final pricing (the BOGO if you bought in pairs, the % discount on the final item if you bought an odd amount). This confused me for so long at first since it looks like you are getting your discount on top of the BOGO until you realize what the register is doing. It has caused more than one freak out by me on a large transaction because I think that my total will dip below what I expect (and i wont be able to use a final Up to pay resulting in a higher OOP). And then everything ends up where it should be at the end because the register self corrects and the cashier thinks I am even stranger. I only mention this because it will happen lots as you achieve silver , then gold.

An example you will see on the CC screen as a BOGO is rung up will be:

Item X $10
Wellness discount -$1

Then next item is rung up:
Item Y $10
Wellness discount -$10


Receipt will only reflect that:
Item X $10
Item Y $0

20 minutes isnt bad if you can hit a few stores. The thing about CVS is if you can get in there a few times a week then you can scan your card at the Red Machine and get more coupons. That tends to help a lot but they are somewhat individualized so it could mean wasted trips. One GREAT thing about CVS is that a lot of stores activate their sales at some point on Saturday, so you can basically shop two sales in one trip. Another great thing about CVS is that most promotional ECBs expire one month after they are issued. That's the longest redemption time for store rewards of any of the drugstores.
