| Can't use coupons on sale items ?
I went into rite aid today because I wanted to purchase some nail products - specifically loreal because I had the little 1.00/1 loreal nail coupon when u donate 1.00 and you get coupons Went to pay - Plastic forks for Cake Mothers day card (the huge one in front of the store) 1 loreal nail polish - her favorite color Handed her the loreal coupon and she said no I cannot use coupons on sale products I started laughing so hard because I was like are you kidding me ? & this lady that rung me up - I have a problem with her every time --- every single time that I actually do not shop at that rite aid - I drive an extra 30 mins to a rite aid that is coupon friendly. I only went to this one because I have expiring ups and no time to go to another RA It just blows my mind that I don't go to a specific place because they make up rules every time I go in --- & the manager always sides with the cashier So left with no nail polish now I'm running to cvs >.< I mean what should I do ? Continue to just not go there ? Thanks ;( |

Really your only choices are to not shop there, not shop there unless you are following the stores stupid rules or to contact CS and have them contact the store. Personally I would choose option one or two unless your RAs are few and far between. Then I would choose option 3.

Im just really irritated about the cashierI bought 2 Lysol using the video value coupon saying 1.50/2 any Lysol ---and the same cashier said it has to be EXACTLY in the picture - I said it says "any" two - she didn't even bother to scan it & handed it right back ! I can't deal with it any more |

I really would contact customer service. It's almost a slam dunk that corporate will have a problem with that location not accepting coupons on sale items. Really, a big part of their advertising strategy involves sales with coupons. Check the weekly circular. Not only does it have coupons, it also often directs you to get additional savings with coupons from your Sunday paper. Personally, i've gotten past caring if anyone likes me at a store. I just care about them doing their jobs correctly. Really, because they want to or because corporate dropped the hammer and forced them to follow policy, it doesn't matter to me.

For me it would really come down to if I could get the same deals elsewhere without too much more hassle. The closest RA to me is a PITA, so much so that I just wont go there anymore. I can drive 2 minutes further and hit another RA, then another 3 minutes to another RA, then another 5 minutes to yet another RA, etc.. Continuing in a loop with approximately 3 or 4 other RAs until I circle back home. I could contact CS and have the issue resolved but I have other easier options. Now if there were only a couple of RAs that were close I would be contacting CS and I would make it clear that the manager is part of the issue. I would also do it via email so that I had the resolution, names, etc. in writing should I need it in the future. There was a RA that used to be a big problem so I stopped going there. Stopped in after a 6-8 month hiatus and found that the manager had been replaced. It is now one of my favorite RAs. Odds are you arent the only one that has a problem with that RA and that it may resolve itself without you having to do anything. That is what I am hoping for with my close RA! However yo decide to act, good luck and keep us informed! |

A girl at CVS told me the same thing not too long ago. FYI, she's no longer employed there, but there were MANY reasons they wanted to get her out anyways, namely, her partying all night and coming in hung over. Anywho, I called CS and asked them not to disclose my information to the store manager and I've talked to him several times since then with no mention of it. HTH...I'd definitely contact CS though, because you shouldn't have to go out of your way to another RA.

I would have to understand what the store policies are and what coupon policies are. Now if the Store policies contradict the Coupon policies (not guidelines) then you have yourself a Customer Service issue. Next time if this Cashier causes conflict with a coupon, just ask her "Why would you say... I am not allowed to use this coupon?" "What do you mean .... its suppose to look like the picture?". "Are you accusing me of fraud?" Just make sure you don't have an attitude, it really is useful to understand whats going on. When that time comes to deal with corporates customer service you will have a better understanding of this situation. Others probably complained, but they can't do too much if just one person has an issue. You have the freedom to use coupons but its kinda a privilege to use the coupons at a store. They can refuse business from anyone, homeless people are not welcomed in many places. No shirt, No shoes, No service some places say. We don't make the coupons nor do we create the sales.

I would suggest contacting the district manager rather than customer service.

i feel your pain, i go out of my way to shop at a ra in the next town bc an anti q clerk works at my local ra. she even accused me of printing my own fake q's once which was kinda funny and sad. anyway, i would rather keep my blood pressure low and shop at a q friendly store. the corp is nice when you call but what a hassle.
