This week (5/13) a Sunbeam 5000 BTU room AC is 119.99 with $20 UP.

Never thought it would come to this but I have exactly $120 in UPs all expiring this week, starting tomorrow. So will be buying the AC totally with UPs in the AM. Will use a MCR free 20 oz Q so that the deposit will make my total charge 120.04... so 4 cents OOP for the AC. And no sales tax since I live in MA and sales tax is on net after all Qs.

Are you serious or just trying to badger me? Not the first time I have dealt with that here which is why I nearly never post here anymore.

Unless one has central air or lives in Siberia who cannot use a room AC? The question of \"do you have have a use for it\" is better directed at those who seem to be always buying warehouse quantities of shampoo and such.

Harsh. I thjink brewerfan13 was just making conversation. Sometimes we're forced to burn UPS on things that we really don't need. I think she was just trying to feel out how YOU feel about such a large purchase from your UPS.

No need to get your dander up! I spend a lot of time in RA, and I am truly impressed. I don't think I have ever had more than $100 in UPs at once. But then, I never get anything unless it is free or a money maker, and I burn a lot of Ups on milk, bread, other foods, and things with Mail in Rebates and SCRs.

What is the regular price of the a/c? Last week it was 129.00. If that is the regular price my 20% should kick in and make it 104.00 before the up.

I was thinking that was brilliant! Even if you dont have a use for it you could probably sell it for $40-60. That's a decent return of cash back. I have gotten my Ups back down to a reasonable amount but might have followed this if I still had loads!

wow and I thought I used to be the queen of Rite Aid I have 1,800 wellness points but I burn a lot of my extra ups on clearance stuff and things that we need that I don't have coupons for. the most I've ever had at one time was $92 but that was back in the days before limits were imposed on ups

Did you get in on the glasses glitch earlier in the year? I had about $150-200 in Ups at that point and there were some that were reporting about $400. There were about 16 wonderful hours where the glitch was unlimited!

I think it's a great deal, especially if you have Gold & after the $20ups--I was price checking the ads this week and similar sized AC's were running about $130-$150. Wish I had more Ups and I'd get one

As for the space it would work in: we have the same style one already, and it cools off our living room and dining area (about 600 sq. Ft), just as a comparison.

My rite aid said the origional price is like 189.00 so the sale price is better then 20% i was pretty suprised at the orig. Price

Maybe it is regional. Maybe they don't offer it in regions that are likely to have central air conditioning?

Thanks for that. My ad starts tomorrow and I am thinking I will purchase it too. I am going to see if I can cut my electricity bill down. I have a huge house to cool down with central air and its takes forever to get comfortable and I am not in the other rooms most of those times. We will see.

OKay I am confused. One post says that the week of 5/13 the A/c is on sale with the ups but then another one it says the sale starts on 5/20 which one is it I just checked the ad for 5/13 but didn't see it. my hubby just mentioned he wants to buy one about an hour ago.

I think that is great. Last summer, I had some expiring ups and I spent it on a card table. I use it to organize, sort and cut my coupons! You did very well!

We bought room a/c last year for two bedrooms. I can't see cooling a whole house when you are in the bedrooms at night and not the whole house. On top of that, this central air in a old two story house just doesn't cool efficiently. I was thinking about getting this one as we need one more room a/c.
