Help Sign Rude Shift Supervisor.Need Help friends.

Today i went to Rite aid to do my Samy shampoo deal. The 75% easter clearance catches my eye. So i bought easter basket priced at 3.79(after clearance). But during checkout it rung at 50 % clearance.

So i told the cashier abt that. she also checked and called the shift supervisor for help. She adjusted down the price to 3.79. Then ring it with the samy shampoo. I gave her 4 dollar coupon(one 2 dollar samy manufacturer coupon and one 2 dollar rite aid vv coupon) to her.

First she looked at that and said very rudely that i cant use both. Then she read the coupon and said i can use both of them. But instead of deducting the 4 dollars she added up some amount. So the total comes to 12.79+tax instead of 8.78.

Then i pay her with 10UP reward and 2.79+tax with cash. When i checked the receipts i found that she did some thing wrong and asked her again.She even never let me to explain and shouted at me that she need to figure it on her own.

After 5 min, she dont know what she did.Even she dont know how to read the receipt. Then she told everything is correct. I told her i paid you total 12.79 for 8.78 (8.99+3.79-2 MQ-2VV)item. I almost gave up.

She was very very rude to me. She even dont apologize me for her 4 dollar mistake. Then she told(ordered) me to come back to the store tomorrow.bcoz she dont know how to fix that. Even the mistake was on her side she dont apologize me for that and asked me to come back for that.

Even I am not a hard customer to handle with. She is very hard to the couponers i guess. Though i use only 2 coupons per transaction she cant stand that.

Even the mistake is on her side she shouted very badly.

I have been to that store couple of times. But i dont see customers there.now i get the reason. I will be never back to that store again.

I am going to call the customer service tomorrow. Am i doing right??

I had a mistake by a cashier 2 months ago at rite aid and called customer service. They were amazing, really friendly and reprinted register rewards with extended dates because they had to mail them to me.

One thing I can say make sure you are super friendly, as someone who works customer service you catch more flies with honey

I had a similar situation, there were two errors in my transaction and I caught one before I left the store. It wasnt until I was adding the items to my weekly budget that I caught the second error (a coupon would not scan so the manager manually entered it but entered it as a charge instead of a coupon). When I went back less than a week later and asked if there was anything that could be done, she basically accused me of fraud, gave me the refund and told me this was a one time only deal...to never try to pull this again. I did not contact CS, I still wish I had. It almost feels like i was agreeing with her since I just 'took it' kwim?

some days its tough to be a couponer! I had one of those days yesterday morning also! I called CS and put in a complaint on that shift manager. she didnt handle things correctly and should be reprimanded. I just expect to be treated like a human being. Im glad I call. I feel better and my problem is being handled. I would call CS any time you feel mistreated or anytime they owe you money and the store level is not handling it. i usually take time to calm down before contacting cs. so i can be level headed and make sure im not overreacting. just report the facts. I hope you get your issue taken care of

Call customer service. Also, sometimes getting a different manager involved helps. Sometimes cashiers wrongly believe that coupons are "cheating" the system or are an aggravation to them.....not true. Keep at it!!

Call customer service. When I had an issue at my Rite Aide they called me back within the hour. RA takes customer complaints seriously.

I had a cashier like that at CVS, and lo and behold, she is sweet as pie now. Your call to customer service may very well activate some changes. Keep up the good couponing!

I had the same problem with my Rite Aid, with the same deal. She said she would accept it this time because I was a regular, but she's not doing me a favor, it's within their policy.. I'm going in today to stack my coupons and this time I'm going in with their coupon policy...

Thanks friends for all your suggestions. Yesterday i called CS and they escalated the issue to the Store manager.

Today i got a call from the manager and he apologizes me for that incident and returned my money back.

I'm sooo glad that they took care of it! Though I am still sorry that it happened in the first place. I like my dream world where couponers never get flack from anyone LOL!

P.S. Your post was a breeze to read compared to a TON (I have a hard time reading text speak LOL) so don't worry about it

that $2 pdf beeped for me and cashier pushed it through. last time a q beeped for me the mgr was snippy with me and i haven't been back in months so this time cashier worked it out. she has worked there for 25 yrs or something so she knows i shopped there regularly and i'm sure she noticed i haven't been back. i expect to be treated with respect when i am spending $ or my q's.

Personally, if I have a cashier that is wrong and I know it, I stand my ground and demand a manager. I will.not.budge. (unless I have the screaming-grumpy children on board clause, which is unfortunate but also means an extremely hateful revenge is best served cold phone call later) I don't know this particular deal you attempted as I've been taking a break but she was obviously doing something wrong. Also if it was over 10 you should have been able to use your UP, not under 10 (for the 8 dollar total you should have had if she had done the q's correctly) I hope you never have that issue again. I have a cashier that is evil like that at my Safeway, I complained to the manager and now I avoid her at all possible. I saw her giving someone absolute hell on their WIC the other day and had to pity the customer and roll my eyes at the cashier at the same time.

As an aside, don't let being attacked by one person scare you away, this board has a wealth of knowledge and the vast majority of people are very generous and friendly.
