| New Coupon Policy March 2012
Most noticeable change: No longer accepting 2 coupons on B1G1 50% off. Nor will they accept a b1g1 free coupon with b1g1 50% off. I love my rite aid, I really do... But this company continues shooting themselves in the foot. To be the bottom of the big three chains, they should be opening their policy to couponers, not closing it off! I've dabbled in CVS, but it looks like I'm going to have to dive right in. Sorry RA, but you're doing it to yourself.

Ok, completely off topic, but when I saw IHRA.com the first thing I thought was, "Why is someone looking for coupon info at the International Hot Rod Association?" LOL! It took me a second to realize it was I Rite Aid!

I think Rite Aid is stating loud & clear that they don't want to do business with couponers.

I would rather drive 30miles to cvs than deal with my local rite aid. If there is something I really want from rite aid, I just pm at Walmart. I even changed all my prescriptions. I don't trust anyone with my prescriptions where I get bad customer service.

This is ultimately sad to hear about RA....its been downhill for about 6 months now. Seeing how their competitors take 2 Q's on a BOGO, I was hoping they would sway that way too, now I see its the opposite. How can they gain from this? |

I think everyone should voice their opinion to Rite Aid! I already wrote them an email about it. Hopefully if everyone sends them negative feedback about it they will change it like the did with a few other things in the past. I noticed that in the next few weeks half of their sales that involve up rewards are b1g150% off. I told them that I will take my business elsewhere if they don't change things.

I think I am going to cash in on what little ups I have left and stop shopping there. It's just not worth it to deal with their policies just to get the one or two deals they have per week. I don't know why but I almost feel sad about it becuase when I first started couponing a couple of years ago Rite Aid was my go to place that I loved, almost like losing an old friend!

Obviously Rite Aid is discouraging couponing and if they don't want the business we will have to just take it elsewhere. None of my coupons ever work and I got tired of RA a few months ago. I don't even make one trip there a week and I used to go several times a week. Couponing must not make that big a difference in their bottom line. Oh well |

Buy one get one 50% off works out to 25% off. Those at the gold level save 20% off anyway. If you have a good coupon and you are at gold, you may be better off just buying individual items and using the coupon and getting 20% off than only using the coupon on one item out of a pair and saving 25%. Of course, some deals with Up rewards require purchase of a certain number of items and may not track. It is a bit of a nuisance but certainly not a deal breaker for me.

I think RA has forgotten that a few years ago when they almost went bank rupt it was couponers that saved thier behinds.

I haven't shopped at Rite Aid since last coupon change. Looks like that will continue. Wonder what they are thinking.

I just see the sentence where they won't accept a B1G1 FREE on a % off. What I see is the following: Rite Aid accepts Buy One, Get One Free coupons, however only one coupon can be used for each pair of items purchased. A customer can use one “cents off” coupon in conjunction with the item they are purchasing on a Buy One, Get One Free promotion (or with a Buy One, Get One at a % off promotion or with a Buy One, Get One Free coupon), although the value of the cents off coupon cannot exceed the selling price of the item. Someone please help me if I'm not reading/interpreting something correctly. |

My Drs. office is right next to a RA and I drive 10 miles to a CVS to get scripts. I just don't like the atmosphere at RA. I tried figuring out the ups deals but I could never remember to go online and watch videos and then I would forget to cash them in and then they would expire anyway. Sounds like they haven't learned or even tried to learn from what CVS is doing!! Long live ECBs!! Sent from my iPhone where typos are FREE!

This has me seriously bummed out, I can just see the once potential savings slipping before my eyes . I've always thought of couponing as a sort of game, me vs the store vs the manufactures, I try to save my money and they try to get it. They set the rules for the game with their coupon fine print and coupon policies and I try to maneuver within their rules and keep my money, kind of like keeping your pieces in chess. This policy change makes it feel like Rite Aid's a petulant child that got tired of losing and turned over the board.

As hard as it really is to coupon, even with some help, remembering, pricing, deciding if coupon doubles here or better there or save it for better deal next week........I am so razzled, I truely commend all of you girls, and guys for all the help and work you put into this work. I have had 8 people quit on me to be my helpers and it is rough. So, Gratzi .

I already gave up on Rite Aid sales and couponing there. Its just not worth the extra effort - I've been not feeling good for a few months and my brain is frazzled from the meds I have to take so I really don't have the ability to keep up with all the stuff and deal with crabby employees who don't like coupons. I think I'm going to CVS from now on where they want couponers when I coupon.

My 2 cents - I already don't bother matching up most BOGO sale items because it doesn't work out well in the end. We'll have to see what happens with this. Obviously, the Olay deal that I worked out last week would have been against the new policy. Moneymaker gone. I'm sure I'll be able to somewhat work around it, but...it's getting tougher. I have a question for you all. Did you notice that the "cents off" is now underlined. Does anyone question whether they're going to enforce a $0.99 or less coupon with it? After all, cents are not dollars.
