when it says UP TO..they may deduct the coupon value and only give you exactly what you paid. (unless of course you are blacking out everything but the sale of item line on the receipt)

Do you blacken out items or amounts when sending in rebates? I have thought about doing this but never have.

On select rebates i have. I try not to have to. but when im in doubt of a rebate working out because i paid with ups for a low oop i do. I have had success in doing it. I always scan/ copy the untouched receipt prior to blackening it out so i can send a clean copy in, if i have a dispute. (save to my pc and only print if i have to) this rebate says that the rebate will be in the amt of the circled price. odd, never saw a rebate say that before. so maybe if you use a coupon and pay with ups it wont matter.

I really need to spend a $10 up so i'd love to pay for it with that ups. so i might black out all that info.

I was wondering that too, if they would give you original retail value at that store. So, if we have 20% off, I'm GUESSING that they would give the $11.xx rather than the $13.xx. But, I don't think they'd deduct the coupon...the rebates I've done, all but Physicians Formula, I believe, have given the $ the store was charging. Hope that makes sense. It was a bit more of a MM for me at CVS, because I had a $4/20 coupon and just added in some of my freebies to get to $20.

Awesome, thanks! Turns out my bf wants to try these and I have some UPs to burn. I generally view rebates as bonus money unless it's an easy one like the RA rebate program or Staples easy rebates...and only get them when it is something I want regardless of getting the rebate.

Dang...it's only to 3/26. Doh.

I bought mine at cvs with the coupon, a 4/20, and ecb's and paid under $2 for my entire transaction (had other stuff in there too) and got my check last week for $12. I didn't black anything out- I know there has been talk about that too, but I didn't think to.

the rebate was only for about a week. how do you get the $5 coupon on your card? I've got +ups to spend this week and no idea what to spend them on.

The $5.00 was at riteaid.com - you had to log into the Load 2 Card section and select. But I think it was only there for a day then disappeared again.
