So for the record: after what the Ca people have told us the deal is get 4Ups when you buy (2) for $12 so if you use the two $3 printables = $2 (after the one 4.00 UP). Bah!

I use both as well. All of my lamps have reg. bulbs, but my really often used have the energy saving ones. I had to stop using them when my family members and I heard there were housefires caused by them...w/out even having them on. But, the latest news is that the GE are definitely safe and pretty much the off brands might not be. Wasn't aware of any off brands. But, stick w/ GE and you're good in other words.

Just came back from Riteaid I bought 2 Secret Conditioningsolid Smooth Effects,they came up $1.37 each used 2 -$1c paid .74 and got 2/$1 ups-$1.26 MM.

The information regarding GE causing housefires is listed under urban legands and the person that posted and started that on the insternet never listed their name. It's been floating around for years.

Were they marked as clearance? Do you have the barcode number?

Anyone manage to find the secret Secret? Curious...

On another note, my husband is a fanatic about CFL light bulbs - he hates them. He's been stockpiling the regular bulbs for months and is glad they delayed the phase out of the 100 watt regular bulb. Since the CFL's have been banned elsewhere, he (and I too) feel as though the risk of possible mercury poisoning is too great. Yep, we're neurotic like that. That, and we have small children who are more susceptible to poisoning, etc.

My 80 year old mother cracks me up though. She talks about how they'd push mercury from broken thermometers around on the table when they were kids. <insert me falling over dead>

WARING to those with Thermacare $4 ups from this week.I went today to get a couple things and used my 2 $4ups,good thing I was watching they came up $2 each not $4,they called the manager over and the same thing $2ea. He took off another $4 from my order.He said they were only suppose to be $2 up for each not $4 computer error.
