So in the Rite Aid 9/18 ad (posted on I♥...), it says that Prevacid will be better than free:

19.99
- 17.99 MIR 9/18 paper
- 4.00 coupon in 9/18 paper
= $2 MM

Whereas in the Wags ad, it says that it will be free:
19.99
- 15.99 MIR 9/18 paper
- 4.00 coupon in 9/18 paper
= FREE

Don't MIRs usually take off the coupons so that you're only getting back the price? I know we don't know the MIR limit yet, but I can't see why Wags and RA would have two different MIR values with the same deal.

Hmm...does Rite Aid not print the coupon manufacturer on the receipt where Wags does? I noticed the other day that Wags does, but I haven't been to RA in a while.

Most MIR's do NOT deduct the cost of coupons used, but occasionally they do. It depends on the manufacturer. Usually, if they are going to deduct the coupon value, it will say so on the MIR form. Some people take a sharpie marker and black out all the coupons from their CRT's in order to receive the total amount of the product.

Rite Aid does list the name of the manufacturer with the coupon on their receipts, but my experience has been that if I circle the product and price, as is usually required for an MIR, that is usually what I get paid on.

Can't answer as to why RA and Wags would have two different amounts for the same offer, though.....

there is also a $4 VV on prevacid 24hr (from aug i believe it was good till 9/24)...for previcid so its more of a money maker!! luckily I printed ONE off! whew. I normally dont buy this stuff its so expensive so im surprised i bothered watching it! ALSO: scr #15 for $3 rebate! total $9MM

first i photo copy the receipt as is...then : on the original receipt

I took another posters advice and black out everything but the circled price of the item im doing the mir on and the store name/date and other important info needed. that way none of the coupons/ups show. normally i have a few penny sale or zero sale. so if you get a rebate based on what you PAY...i'd get nothing! so far so good, i've gotten every rebate i've sent! knock on wood

also, take into concideration your 20% is you have it. Bring it down to 17.59, before any qs.

Is 19.99 not a sale price? It's the lower of the sales price or 10 - 20% off the regular price, right?

since it is 9/18, I'm assuming that everyone has already seen the rebate form... but just in case, here's what it says:

Thanks, gravyqueen, for clarifying. We got neither the rebate form nor the $4 coupon in our Sunday paper, but I found the $4 coupon on the Prevacid website, and the MIR form elsewhere on-line.

So it sounds like both Rite Aid and Walgreens will be free after coupon & MIR...however if you have the Rite Aid Video Value - that's the $4 MM!

I'll be using mine at Rite Aid...wish I had another Video Value

the rebate form is on the prevacid24hr website too!! thanks!!

dont forget to do the $3 SCR too (online) before sending the receipt away!! (make a photocopy for your records in case you have an issue with scr ) or mir.

so, do you think they'll subtract up rewards if we use them to pay? I would love to turn +ups in to cash but I don't want to miss out on the rebate... I wouldn't buy the Prevacid without the rebate.

i plan on using a sharpie to black out everything except the $4 off coupon and the item prevacid. so there will be no problems. they dont need to know how you paid for it..check/credit card, cash or ups! i black out the subtotal and all and i have always received my rebates. leave the name of the store and date and trans # stuff showing. or just pay cash..because the ups come off as coupons and it will screw up the bottom line if it shows you paid only .49c oop or something

do you usually do that with rebates? have you ever had a problem getting a rebate because of it? I've never tried doing that before.

I had my hubby call the company while I was at work today to ask if they would honor a rebate it store money was used to pay the total down and they said no. I plan on calling again tomorrow before work to see if I get the same answer.

Gosh, thanks for the heads up. I was planning to pay tomorrow with my $20 Up from the Scott's TP deal. But I don't need the Prevacid for myself, and would hate to lose that much in UPs on a donation item.

I got denied on the Zyrtec TMF offer for paying with Ups, even though the form didn't specify that they could not be used. Lucily, that was something we DO use.

so, I called a few minutes ago and spoke to a very grumpy woman who I think was grumpy because I didn't want to give her all of my information just to ask a simple question. She said "it shouldn't matter how it's paid for as long as it's paid for." She didn't even think about it, she just said it. I tried to explain/make sure she knew that I was talking about but she just kept saying the same thing.

I called back again a few minutes later and spoke to someone else who said it shouldn't matter but wasn't sure. He asked me if I wanted him to escalate the question and call me back with more info. I said "yes, please!" He should be calling me back when he gets more info.
