I bought two of the three packs of glue sticks and two packs of pink earsers and I only got one $2+up, the manager I love (He looks like he is 19 and is always happy!) gave me two dollars out of the cash register.

I went in today (around 11am PST) to my Rite Aid (northern CA) and they were pulling the tags off the shelf for this deal...I did not try to buy any so I don't know but thought I'd pass it along that they were pulling tags. They had also been pulled in the Yuba City store..which is 20 mins to the west of mine...I was searching for the soup .

The lady in front of me in line threw a fit that she didn't get two up rewards when she bought two of the pencil top erasers! The supervisor didn't know what to say so he gave her cash.

She also bought the nyquil and didn't get the UP and flipped.

She used a huge stack of coupons and I feel like she knew what she was doing. She had already bought her LIMIT 1 of nyquil so this one didn't print and knew to buy 2 (which she did) of the pencil cap erasers and then complained that she didn't get her other $2 UP.

Those are the people that give us bad names. The unfortunate part of it was that the poor supervisor said that they have been told to fix it for the customer instead of having them call CS.

I always call CS if an UP doesn't print and they very nicely process and send out a very long expiration up reward. What is so wrong with calling? Why should the store give cash out of their registers to correct the problem?

I think people are incorrectly assuming this deal is dead because the tags are being pulled. But I believe they are pulling the tags because the TAGS are wrong, not because the deal is not going on. The tags falsely said that you would get a $2 UP for each item when the deal is $2 UP wyb TWO items. Since this is a month long deal, I expect to see corrected tags go up later.

And for those of you getting UPs for folders, which ones are you buying? I tried getting a whole bunch of the .99 3-prong folders last night and only got 1 $2 UP. Couldn't tell any difference in which folders gave them.

I can confirm that this is still working, i got 2 10 pack of pentech pencils, 2 pentech erasers (2 pack), and i think harvard pencil tops (1.49$ each), and got back 3 $2 up rewards, i did the transaction at 12/30/10 8:58PM EST (about 1 hour and 20 minutes before i posted this), the tags were also up that incorrectly states $2 "wyb this item".

Just a note: If you bring this up to the cashiers/supervisors attention they will correct it for you, last night i bought 2 20cnt boxes of harvard square pencils, and only recieved 1 $2 up, so they refunded me 1 box and let me keep it YMMV though

The deal just worked for me, approx 2:30pm EST. I got Pilot pens, Harvard Square pencils, erasers and rulers. 2 different stores. Couldn't find the craft glue though

Worked for me at two different stores today in VA about noon EST. Worked ($2up printed for every 2 purchased) for Harvard Square 10pk pencils (UPC 04818 for 2nd 5 digits), Pentech 10pk pencils (UPC 71010 for 2nd 5 digits), and wooden rulers (UPC 66255 for 2nd 5 digits) - these were stamped Wescott on the front at my store.

Nothing was marked with tags at the first store; at the 2nd one many items had tags (the $2up tags that should say off 2, the $4up tags off 2, the $5up tags off 2 craft items, and the $5up tags on computer accessories). All are dated to run through 1/22.

I saw the computer mouse that was mentioned in another thread at both stores; at the first it wasn't marked down and at the 2nd it was marked at 2.99 but did not have the $5up tag that all the other mouses had, so I didn't try it. Looks like many others have been successful today so I'll try next time.

I bought 3 and they all produced the reward. The mouse was not marked with the UP sign

I love you guys for posting a deal like this. Without you, I wouldn't have even known about these deals. I think I was one of the only ones in town to know about them because my RA did NOT have any Yellow UP signs posted by the pencils or sharpie markers or piolt pens. I needed Sharpies!!!!!!! My son will have pencils now for a while and we will have sharpies!!! While I was there I forgot to check out the erasers, gluesticks and rulers though.... well, I guess tommrow is a good day since I am off and I seem to be the only one to know about this deal so there were not shelf clearers before me

Still working as of 700pm EST, I bought rulers, pentech pencils and these really cool gold pens from pilot!!! I allready bought all of the 2.29 pilot pens so I thought these would be useful for a bit more, still almost FREE!!!! The comp mouse is not at my store, only another one that is 9.99 with 5UP but it is a different brand, so I didnt try. I am going to have my store order a ton more pens/pencils for this month!!!

I forgot to say in my other post that all of my items rang up as "on sale" even though they ring up at the shelf price. So I didn't get the %off regular price with my wellness card because according to the computer, they were "on sale". Just FYI since some of the scenarios earlier in this thread imply that you will get that %off.

That is very odd. I have bought multiple items over six transaction and gotten my Wellness discount every time. My MIL has been going to multiple stores, getting many items and getting her Wellness discount as well. You're the first person I've heard of that did not have them ring up with their Wellness discount. That stinks. I am sorry.
