I'm so mad at myself. I went to get diapers today and had $8 is +Ups... I didn't realize until I handed them to the cashier that they expired yesterday! Ughh.... he threw them all away

I guess I'll keep better track next time.

I had $1 one that when I tried to use it, it just didnt work. Didnt beep nothing. Just scanned and that was it.

I would keep them and call customer service and see if they can replace them. I've had that done at cvs before.

I wasn't given the option of keeping them. When he pointed out they expired I reached for them and he pulled them back and put them behind the counter... oh well.

I don't think there's any chance of getting exp. Ups back. I still have a $2 one that beeped because it would have used .01 in tax (no tax allowed) with my total. Since then I tried using it and no chance. They said I "used it" and I told them no, and why would I have it anyway, if it was used?

I'm going to bring it back to the store that originally said no --bcause of the penny tax--and see whether they can manually do something for me but I doubt they will. You can't make any mistakes with Ups!

Today at RA the last UP used ($1) wouldn't work because it was eating up tax. I grabbed a pack of gum for .88 and then the cashier scanned the UP and it worked. I thought it would not scan through the second time, but it did. (I should have asked him to scan the UPs first.) Anyway, I am hoping they fixed the "used once scanned" programming. That would be nice.

I was just coming here. I found a few expired. My CVS will let expireds be used for a week but I am unsure about these.

Ups allow us to get so much for free with their awesome promotions, and it's well worth it to do so even if they have a strict exp. policy, like most stores do. It's your loss if you choose not to use them, but as long as you keep up with the dates and use them before the exp. you will get amazing deals over and over again.


To the OP I know you how you feel, I've had $20 in ECB expire havn't had any Ups expire yet... Knock on wood!

I find it so much easier to keep up with +UP Rewards than ECB's or RR's, because they always expire on the Saturday that is two weeks after the last day of the week's sale you earned them from. So if it is Friday or Saturday, just think "Do I have any +UP's expiring that I haven't used?" It's just so much easier than keeping up with ECB's or RR's, which can expire on ANY day of the week.

In So. Cal. with the different ad dates, this may not apply -- maybe theirs expire on a Thursday since their ad ends on Thursday ???

I had one that was going to expire on Saturday that beeped when it was scanned (on Sat). Not sure why that happened but I'm going to make sure to use them up the day before the exp date now.

I keep my ups all together in an envelope and have them organized by amount, and then by expiration date so that I make sure to use the ones expiring soonest first. So far, so good. Of course, I don't think I've ever even come close to an expiration date because I'm always at RA and turning ups into more ups

OP - I had the EXACT same experience yesterday. The $6 +UPs that I handed to the cashier beeped because they were one day past the expiration date. (CVS accepts ECB after expiration dates). The cashier took them, ripped them in half and put them in the trash. There were 3 people in line behind me, if they were not there, I would have asked to speak to a manager. I went to my car to call the Wellness plus 1-800 number, to see if they can be reissued, but alas, they are closed on Sundays. I realize that it is my mistake by not using them in the timely manner, but perhaps, they can reissue.

Don't feel bad in August I had over $70 in UPs expire when we got stuck in San Diego by volunteering to stay off our flight and then there were no other flights leaving for days!

It was absolutely awful but on the bright side...

I started last Saturday with $2 in UP and now have almost $200 with very little (mostly tax) OOP.

I have no complaints about UPs just human error complaints of myself!

I had 50.00 worth of UPs expire because I lost them, when I finally found them I called corporate twice and asked them to help me out, they both said no.
