I was just able to snag some biotene Q's tonight. It is on sale this week B1G1 Free. I was wondering if I would be able to buy 6 bottles and still use 6 Q's or could I only use 3?

Any help is appreciated.

I actually found them in a magazine @ Walgreens. I was looking for the diabetes and you booklet for the $1/1 Lubriderm q...well the wags I went to last night didn't have the most recent book out BUT I scored 6 biotene Q's from the deal. It is a manufacturer's Q. In VERY small print at the bottom of the Q is says you can only redeem @ Wags BUT I am going to try the deal because it clearly says manu Q at the top. And my Rite Aids don't read all the fine print on every Q. I already went and got 6 biotenes because I thought it was a good enough deal just with B1G1 and the $5/$25 Q.....little did I know! LOL

Stock up now because as I said I have NEVER seen a biotene Q out there and the cheapest I have ever found it is at Walmart or Target for just under $6/bottle.

Yes they are in the fall one. The booklet will have Wags exclusive Q's in them as well. They are also in the older books that are red in color. The ones I found last night were older ones and the Q's expire 12/31/09. I found more in the newer booklet that are good until 3/30/2010.

And yes, you have to get 6 books.

It will depend on the amount (or type) of the Q's being used on a bogo free deal if it will make them both free. A few weeks ago razors were bogo free. They were priced at $8.99. I had some $4 q's. Using one on each razor brought the price down to .99 cents for both of them. If the items are bogo free and you have a bogo free q for that item, then both of them would be free + any applicable sales tax.

As long as you don't go below the price of the item you're okay. i.e. Say something is 8 dollars bogo and you use 2 4 dollar Q's that should be okay since that would make them free. But - if they were 2 5 dollar Q's you couldn't do it because you would be going below 8 dollars which Rite Aid doesn't allow.

I haven't had much luck using 2 Q's with a bogo sale but if it works for you - then you're fortunate. The cashiers at mine always try to say - that I shouldn't be allowed to use 2 Q's since one item is free already. Got to try to figure out how to get around that one. Sometimes the register beeps and won't let them put in 2 Q's either. I'll have to try it and see if I can get it to work one of these days.

Oh, and you can use any manufacturer's coupon even if they say "redeem at wherever on them" as long as the barcode has a 5 in the beginning - meaning its not a store coupon its a regular manufacturer's coupon.

You might want to scroll down to the thread that IAmFrugal started because she posted a link with Rite Aid's corporate police that you can print up and bring with you. Just click on the attached file. (I included a link below to her post) It clearly states that when an item is bogo free that you can use a coupon on each item as long as the price doesn't go below zero. If your store refuses to go by that, you might want to either call the customer service number or email them. In my humble opinion they shouldn't be giving you a bad time about that.

It clearly stated that it was a manufacturer's coupon, and I even tried to tell the cashiers that, but they still refused. I have also emailed both Walmart and Target to ask if these types of coupons are acceptable and both times they sent me their coupon policy, which does not even address the issue about which I had questioned them. What do I need to do in order to avoid the next cashier refusing my Q's? TIA

I would push the issue if I were you. If the cashier refuses, tell them to get a manager and explain to the manager that this is perfectly acceptable. If they say it is not acceptable, ask them where in their coupon policy does it say so and when they cannot produce that you SHOULD have either made enough of a point or raised enough fuss for them to allow it.

Ultimately, I would say it will completely depend on the store you go to and the manager @ the store. I had this issue a while back with Kroger accepting Q's that had a Rite Aid logo on it. One Kroger refused and was SUPER rude to me about the whole thing. Another Kroger I simply pointed out it said manufacturer's Q on it and they scanned them all no problem.

You could also always just tell them to try to scan it and see if it works. If it scans and goes through they will get credit for it. They are gunna look pretty stupid when it scans and works and still try to tell you they cannot accept them.

This will be the 1st time I am doing a BOGO at Rite Aid this coming week also. I just want to make sure that I am understanding correctly. I will be doing the HE BOGO sale with the BOGO coupons.

Do I need to use a BOGO coupon for every item or only every 2 items? It is just not making sense to me since you are already getting one of the 2 items free to use a coupon on the free item as well? Isn't that going to creat a negative balance?

I wondered about this too.

I guess you get bogo items and use the coupon making both free. Which means most likely you're buying one getting a free one and then using the bogo coupon on the second item to make the first free. Since the price would not go below 0 its okay. (That's how I believe it works but I'm not sure.)

Its funny you mention the not making sense to use a coupon on the free item thing. Cashiers at RA always try to use that on me when I try to use a coupon on a free item to get more off. Now I'm going to print off the Rite Aid coupon policy and bring it in when I shop so I can show them that its okay according to the policy and that they need to let me use my coupons.

I agree. According to Walmart's coupon policy (not sure about Targets) they will accept store coupons. But - since the coupons are manufacturers (starting with a 5 - even though they say redeem at such and such) they should scan and be okay anyway. So regardless Walmart should not have given anyone a hard time since its okay according to their policy.

The last time I tried to use a bogo free coupon on an item that was bogo free, I used one bogo free coupon on two items. The store didn't understand how to do it then. The district manager has since let the store know how to do it. So, this will be the first time that I am attempting to do it again since then. FYI, the Herbal Essence bogo free coupon is buy one Herbal Essence shampoo, conditioner or styler and receive a styler free. The sale at Rite Aid starting Sunday (or today in parts of CA) is bogo free on Herbal Essence shampoo, conditioner or styler. It is my understanding that what you want to do is make sure the styler is rung up first if you will be getting shampoo or conditioner with it so that the styler has a price and the conditioner or shampoo is free. Then the coupon would be used on the styler. Neekyme also suggested that one could get two stylers bogo free and use the q on the one that is purchased. Do either of these senerios make sense? I hope I explained it correctly.

The first cashier actually did scan it and it worked...then she said I'm going to have to ask about this one! The one she asked said that a person from the cash office told her that the store did not get credit for these coupons....I tried to argue the point, but she would not hear it. I just let it go and used my Q at Wags since it had that logo on it. Funny thing, Wags let me use it as a Man Q, not a store Q!

That's strange. I guess this is a YMMV thing. I was worried I would get caught and have to try to argue my point but luckily all the cashiers I encountered just looked at the Q's, scanned them and I paid and went on my way. Spent about $45 this week just for biotene but got 18 bottles, 2 of them being the large liter size. Well worth it. Dates on them are for 2012 and I normally would have gotten just 7 bottles for this price.

I did the bogo HE this morning with the bogo coupons and had no issues. I only used 2 coupons though.
