Rake in the savings?

I got a $20 certificate today that says it's for rake in the savings? I already got my $20 one for fall whatever it was called. Was there another one? I shouldn't have gotten two, as far as I know.

Just coming to ask. The first one I got said Rake in the Savings as well, but I just spent it yesterday so can't confirm the RC#. do you think all of them have the same RC so RiteAid doesn't know who is using them?

I confirmed the RC numbers with another user and we have 3 certificates with identical numbers. Apparently it has been confirmed on Slick Deals as well. So there is really no way for Rite Aid to track who used 2 unless they want to sort through everyone SCR receipts for a $20 deduction.

So we just get to count ourselves lucky and enjoy the windfall. Plus a clerk mentioned there is usually another one near Christmas (Although she hadn't heard anything this year, just from her working there a few years). Anyone ever heard of that?

I got one too. I am thrilled, just not sure why I got a second one. I do think the first one said Giift of Savings, and this one says Rake in the savings. Do you think its like a "gift" to frequent costomers or something? Just a thought. My grandmother didnt get one and so far my mom didn't get it either. But my mom is still waiting for her first one. Anyway glad this was posted. I posted on another board and kinda got a little frustrated because ppl said I shouldnt spend it. But I want to! LOL

Well, I look it as a gift. If they're going to give it to us, its obviously for us to spend it. Anyway, I figured it was because I spent more than the amount required so maybe they sent me another one as a reward.

I figured I might have qualified for an additional one. So, I used it today for formula! I didn't think twice about it until I read this post. I hope we can keep it.

I have a brochure for the Rake in the Savings which you need to submit receipts. You need to make purchases between 9/13/09 to 10/17/09. Perhaps since you met the requirements, they mailed you the $20 maximum reward! (Receipts entered for the other reward program-double dip!)

This is from the brochure/ad:
This fall Rite Aid is offering another way to help customers save money with its fall Rake in the Savings program. From now through October 17, shoppers can receive free $5 to $20 gift certificates with purchases of $25 and more.

Through Rite Aid's Rake in the Savings program, customers can watch the savings pile up as they earn $5, $10 or $20 certificates based on total purchases from $25 to more than $100. To receive their gift certificate, customers can pick up a brochure with mail-in form at any Rite Aid store or go to Rite Aid Pharmacy - With Us, It's Personal and submit the information from qualifying receipts dated September 13 through October 17. All submissions must be received by November 17, 2009. (See in-store brochures or online information for program rules and purchases that are excluded such as alcohol, tobacco and gift cards.)

I got a 2nd one too, YEA!!!!

Also, my Rite Aid will allow me to use one $5/20 and $5/25 in the same transaction, if my total is $45 before Q's. It cuts down on having to do multiple transactions.

Duplicate certificates NOT VALID

I e-mailed RA directly because I do not want to use my 2nd "Rake in the Savings" certificate if it was mailed in error. It is not worth $20 (or any amount for that matter) to me to offend the Almighty! Here is the response I got:

Dear Patricia Figgers,

Thank you for your interest in Rite Aid's Fall Gift of Savings program.

Ms. Figgers, the duplicate certificate you received is not valid. Please destroy it, as it it was a duplicate. We apologize for any inconvenience.

You are receiving this email in response to your Rite Aid Fall Gift of Savings customer service contact.

Sincerely,

Jennifer M
