Have any of you experienced where they advertise in the weekly ad and it doesn't match up to the rebate? I purchased the Johnson and Johnson products that were in the weekly ad (looking at pictures on the page) and then when I put in for the rebate, it says they don't qualify. SO, I pulled out the rebate book and the items are different. That really seems like fault advertising. The page in the weekly flyer advertises the amounts you get back (with small print that says see rebate book).

Anyway, I am annoyed that I have to now take these items back and one my hubby already opened! So, more money out of pocket, but they are useful items.

Frustrated.

I call it "RiteAid Roulette" ... it's like a version of russian roulette ... you pull the trigger (by buying something), and pray that you haven't shot yourself in the head by doing so (have the rebate rejected for whatever random reason they can come up with back at the home office).

I have been having problems myself and have been debating if I should try to contact their corporate location. It is frustrating!

I have found that often the rebate shelf sticker in the store does not exactly match the item that the rebate is for. I am not sure if it is a mistake or the they just don't have the item so the employees say hey let's just put on this item because it is close enough. Or maybe they don't want to issue the raincheck? I had that happen with the toothpaste that was supposed to be free the other week. It was the only toothpaste that had the rebate shelf sticker on, so I didn't pay too much attention and just grabbed it, but it wasn't the proper one for the rebate.

This week it is the Comtrex...it is supposed to be the 18 or 20 count, but I could only find the bonus box with 30 I believe that had the rebate shelf tag on it. I entered my receipt and I am going to see if it works- if not it is going back! I now know not to open any items until my receipt clears.

I find usually the written description in the ad is much more reliable then the picture.

I also noticed this week that one of the Sucrets that are pictured are the herbal ones? They are not the 18 count(I think that is right), which according to the fine print is the one that the rebate is on. I wanted the herbal ones but was afraid they wouldn't qualify, so I didn't buy them.

I bought the herbal Sucrets which have the bonus 33%, I don't see why they would not count toward the rebate, I will know tomorrow, it should clear by then.
