I was SOOOO happy...... a couple of weeks ago I went into Rite Aid for the first time to start doing some deals that are posted here FAR. I ran into the sweetest Assistant Manager who was ultra helpful. When I got home I wrote to corporate on her and how she was so helpful and that I would be shopping there more because of her and so on and so forth. ANYWAY.... I went in there yesterday and she was there. Her whole face lit up when she saw me and she whispered if I was the one who wrote the letter. I said yes and why?? she said thank you SOOOO much and shook my hand. Her DM posted the letter up all over the place for everyone to see and now she got the Assistant manager position in the brand new store that's opening up in a month or so. She told me that my letter was the last reason to promote her to the new store and she was sooooo thankful!!! It made me feel so good as too many people write about bad experiences they have and don't take the time to write the good ones often enough!! Just a feel good moment for me that I thought I'd share!

You should feel good, you did a good deed and it sounds like your instincts were right on! We all need to think about this when we are so unhappy with a certain employee, to look around the store, remember who is helpful that we would LIKE to see be the manager someday and make that little bit of extra effort, take the time to WRITE CORP TO PRAISE, not to just complain...

Yes - it's opening right by me in about a month!!! Not only that but they are looking for people to work there and she gave me an application and told me to put it to her attention and she'd give me a job!!! I just got laid off so it may not be a bad idea - except the pay isn't high enough for me, but who knows!!! Thought that was sweet, plus I was happy that when we write to corporate it actually goes somewhere!!!!
