I only had to do one deal at CVS with money oop before i could start rolling the ECB's. I guess I'll try to transfer a prescription or something and get a GC and start that way. Or, I'll try some of these Free deals and do the SCR's and see how it all works out for me. How long does it take to get this SCR?? IS it a check you can use right in Rite Aid or cash at the bank?? Any help before I try this would be greatly appreciated!!! Thanks

The initial OOP can be high, but if you do the deals with coupons involved, it's a great way to make some extra money (almost like putting your money in a savings account with interest LOL)

You can only request your check once a month - so depending on when you do your deals, you'll have to wait anywhere from a couple weeks, to a little more than month to get the rebate check. I wait until the last day of the month to request mine, so long as all my receipts are cleared on the website. Then I think it's, maybe 2 weeks? that it takes them to send out the checks, and another week to get it.

The check can either be cashed/deposited at your bank, or you can cash it at RA, or you can use it to pay for your items at RA. Like this week, I got my check for June and instead of taking it to the bank, I used the 17 dollar check to pay for my stuff right at the register. I've only been shopping RA for the SCRs since April, and each month my check is getting bigger and bigger because I'm learning more and more about how to do the deals - thanks to this forum!

My Rite Aid won't take IP and when I asked why I was told that they had received a letter from Corporate saying that it was company policy not to accept them any longer. I emailed Corporate asking about this policy and they replied stating that it has been this way for awhile and the only IP they will accept are ones from their own website.

Trisha, you can find monthly deals in the Sticky Part at the top of the Rite Aid forum page. The same place you found this thread.

OK - thanks for this because it helps a lot!!! Can anyone make it even easier and let me know which is the BEST ones to buy to just start off my deals?? I need the lowest oop with the most SCR's to start. Once I do this then I can roll some stuff and start buying things at OK deals or free after SCR. So I need a low oop to start because I can't really afford to spend the money up front to wait a month to get it back. Any help is appreciated!!!

they wll give you cash for your rebate check

this is not like cvs or wag

cash should never be exchanged for a giftcard that limits where you can spend it or pay a fee to receive

just ask them to cah it or pay with the check and anything over your purchase will be returned in cash

be smart

Some people like the fact that they can roll there deals and never have to pay cash OOP. I am one of those people, and you better believe I will be buying a GC from now on with my SCR.

I agree with you. After doing CVS and not having to pay oop I can't imagine having to actually pay with MONEY!!! I am starting Rite Aid this month and will do just that - get my first SCR and use it to get a GC and keep rolling it. The only difference is that if I get a lot of SCR's and have a lot left on a GC I may take that months and just put the cash in my bank. I hate that I have to pay oop. I only did the fructis deal so far so I'll get $5.98 so far. I have to keep up with the money makers this month to get a good SCR with low oop and roll baby roll!!!!

I'm with you 100%!!!
