The post should have said "you will get overage. so have something else in your transaction to absorb it". If the coupon is for $1 and you are only spending .69, you would get .31 in overage.

However, I think that coupon is meant for a larger or mulitpack - not the singles....

Though there is the $0.35 of any "Poly Bag or Jar of Kernels". I believe a 'Poly Bag' is the single pack. Combine two of those coupons with the BOGO sale and get $0.01 overage on the purchase of two packages!

The insert coupon varied by region. Mine said ANY, no mention of boxes.

The Poly Bag reference MIGHT be to a bag of actual loose popcorn (like you'd use in a popper or pan, as was more often done before microwaves , though I'm not sure, since there is a plastic wrapping (bag?) around the singles as well?
