I used up all of my +ups from last week hoping to be able to skip shopping next weekend (I will be out of town and it's too much trouble) and I realized that all of my +ups that printed today say "good 4/27/12 thru 5/5/12"

what the heck rite aid? now we can only use them the week of? this must be a mistake, right? but how will the fix it.... ahhh!!!

YES!!! Same thing happened to me this morning, i did the colgate tooth brush deal and all my $3 UPS expire 5/5/12??? I thought i was seeing things but im glad im not the only one this has happened too!!

all of the weekly deals that I did had +ups print that expire on 5/5.

deals I did:
colgate
sucrets/ocean saline
revlon
mike & ike/hot tamales

the monthly colgate +up printed with an expiration of 5/16.

someone must've made a mistake when programing in this weeks sales....

Woah I didn't even look at the expirations from earlier today..let me know what you find out when you call!!!

wow, really! The last time I shopped at RA was when they had the soft lips deal. Before that I do not even know when the last time I did any shopping at RA.

I do have to say that I had given up on CVS and Wags, because RA had some really good deals. Boy, do I miss the good old days at RA!

I called CS this morning (well 15 mins ago haha) she said IF i do not use them (which I probably won't- unfortunately for me I finished my RA shopping yesterday, meaning I don't intend on going back til next sale week) then hold onto the UPs. She said something happened with the system & that their either going to do something with the barcode that scans (meaning they WILL scan past that 5/5 expiration date OR re-issue the UPs to people) ---- I am hoping it just scans past the expiration date but they're still trying to figure it out so I guess people should just call later in the day or after today to get the final word!

I just got off live chat and was told that they are aware of the issue and that the Ups will be valid until 5/12. So I am guessing they are working on fixing the bar code.

Has anyone gone today? Are the Ups the right date?

Hey gang,

I bought a bunch of things yesterday and got all those 5/5 expiration dates on my UPS, so I turned them around today and the new UPS printed with a "Good 4/27/12 thru 5/20/12" message on the bottom, so it looks like everything's fixed. UPS with the new dates for me were:

Sucrets
Colgate Power Toothbrush
Theater Box Candy

The Colgate monthly $10 UP still has an exp. date of 5/16.

The UPS I got today are the right date -- monthly one is good through 5/16, weekly ones (that yesterday printed as 5/5) are good through 5/20.

Mine also printed with an expiration date of 5/5. I called 1-800-RITEAID and was told that he had no idea and that it was probably select items that printed ups that are good for one week only. Which of course is Bull.

O think they fixed the glitch. Just bought colgate toothbrush and the up expires 5/19.

We apologize for the +UP expiration date issue some of you have experienced. Due to a system problem, +UPs that printed on Sunday and Monday in our Weekly Ad (4/29-5/5) had an incorrect expiration date. These +UPs are valid through 5/19 and will scan correctly at the register.

Looks like a good solution...

I just saw this on the RA facebook page....I think the mistake UPS might only be good until the 19th - but still much better than 5/5!

I called today and got a similar answer to what they posted on facebook. I was told it was a misprint and that the +ups would be valid for 2 weeks as usual.

I shopped 4/30 and mine printed exp. 5/5--so I am not sure they've 'fixed the glitch' everywhere....

Not sure if I trust that they'll scan through 5/19 or if I should burn them and say buh-bye to RA, my two favorite stores have both been train wrecks of problems/deal fails lately (during last week's Revlon BOGO50% with $10+Ups WYB $25 deal EVERY item rang up significantly higher than the shelf sticker--one item with 5.29 sticker rang up 7.79 for ex.) it seems that this kind of stuff (+ Ups not printing, wrong prices, deals pulled) has been happening so often and I worry that the cashiers and SMs (who all know me as a couponer since I shop my two stores every week) are starting to think that I am the one causing problems, or being scammy because I always am the one catching the mistakes.

So glad to hear this! I was on here searching for ways to maximize my ups I got on Sunday, since today I noticed they expired on Sat!! So even tho they say exp on 5/5 it will work til 5/12 right?
