Hi i had a quick question... I got a raincheck for the gerber baby foods deal from last week (bogo 50 + 2 UT when u buy 2). Does rite aid force print up rewards? I dont think they could even deduct the sale price and up rewards from the items since it would be 0 oop plus they would owe me technically. Has anyone been in a similar situation? I dont know how to use this raincheck. I wish they had it in stock so i wouldnt need to bother with a rc .

I've asked the manager that before and he said that it would be the price before the UP rewards, but there'd be no way to give the UP rewards. So, if it says 2/$5, get $1 UP, you'd get 2 of them for $5. Booo...I like CVS' way better!

It really varies by store how the RC is issued. I have had the following happen:

Buy the item at the sale price, given a GC back in the amount of Ups offered.

Buy the item at the sale price, given cash back in the amount of Ups offered. (I liked that one, only happened once).

This is the most poopular way to handle it around here: buy the item at the sale price minus the Ups offer. This one is my least favorite because often if the deal would have been a MMer after MF coupons and ups back it is usually just that the item becomes free. Usually if the item would be a MMer after MF coupons, RA coupons and Ups back it is still a MMer but I think that is mostly because the RA coupons generally allow for that to happen without the cashiers attention being called to the fact that it is happening.

The above scenarios all have the RC written the same way with the sale price and Ups noted on the RC, it is how the cashier chooses to handle the redemption of the RC that has mattered. I have also had a RC written with just the sale price, no mention of the Ups offer. When that happens I just throw the RC away and get another at another store since I want the full benefit of the offer reflected on the RC.

I just got a pistachio RC where the sale price minus the Ups was recorded as the price and there was still a notation of the Ups. I am wondering what is going to happen when I redeem that one. Might of said something but it was a manager that was training a new cashier and this manager has always been cranky in the past when dealing with me. Figured it wouldnt help our relationship if I corrected her in front of an employee.

Thanks for the info! Since mine was on the baby food, it was technically a MM after up rewards. But i would be willing to just get it for free to minimize the managers headache.

Besides im very bad at rolling up rewards, ive had so many expire on me. Ironic since DH works at rite aid and always buys drinks but never just uses the up rewards i give him to use so it wont go to waste.
