I was wondering if any of you RA shoppers remember whether Rite Aid sells fans or air conditioners once spring comes???? I know this is silly -- but I was hoping to buy my son in college a new air conditioner with all of my UPs.
It is kind of a joke around here as any time he needs anything, he starts the conversation out with "does Rite Aid carry....??" because he knows that if I have extra UPs he can usually get what he needs for FREE!!!

I have personally never seen an air conditioner at Rite Aid. You never know, though!

I'm thinking I saw a small ac unit at RA. The bigger stores tend to have more seasonal items, I'm noticing. I'm always surprised that they carry such a variety of things like light bulbs, electronics....
We have a similar joke around here too.

As a college student, I love this post. This is how my life goes. If I need something, I pray to God that Rite Aid has it so I can use my UPR & save my cash for tuition & books!!!!!

Good luck finding what you need & tell your son to jump on the band wagon. He should start shopping Rite Aid too! Haha.

I know our Rite Aid wouldn't carry them, just a small store, I think it would depend maybe where you live, hope you have a BIG RA near you, good luck....

LOL When I read this post I remembered the same thing...but I thought it was here!!!!!!! To answer the OP, I am pretty sure I remembered seeing them advertised last year, so you may be in luck!

Not a silly question at all . . . I personally have not seen them but I only really started shopping there in December. I do know that years ago while doing a CVS clearence run of the summer stuff at 90% off (which they don't do by me any more ) I saw one there. I was shocked and it was 90% off. I had called a friend to join me and she bought it.

Ah, sorry to hijack this thread a bit, but that's great! I wish I had learned to shop like this when I was a student, especially in grad school. I used coupons and shopped the sales, but I could have made that $8,000/year stipend go a LOT farther if I had found AFC back then!

And to the OP-- I don't know if RA sells air conditioners, but I'm pretty sure they have fans. You may also want to see if there is a Freecycle group in your area- I have seen people request and receive used AC units on my local group.

Yes Rite Aid does carry window air conditioner units and fans. Depending on your location. Here in Southern California most of those items have already hit the sales floor. You might want to ask your store manager if there is anyway they can check the stockroom for any of these items. Most of those items were not sent back, they were held in the stockroom for the next season.

I know the RA up here carries ACs and Fans around may-august.

Yes usually RA does carry ACs....They always go on sale and sell out quick(at least at our store). We have yet to get any in this year but fans have started to arrive.
