I use 2 packets of Kool-aid, 1 cup of sugar in 32 oz container (Powerade or Gatorade container) and the kids use the Margarittaville machine to shave ice and they pour a little over it ~ you only want to wet the ice, not pour a drink. All the kids in our neighborhood love it!

We dipped apple slices in it in my preschool classroom last fall and the kids loved it. Messy though! In high school, we put it in zippie bags and made our own "fun dip." Wimps put sugar in it, ![]() |

Giving this a bump since it is summer and there is an abundance of Kool-Aid in the house right now!

We never had it as a drink in our house but we did sometimes use it in a spray bottle (no sugar) to make tye dye snowmen in the winter (cheaper than using up mom's food coloring). We also would sometimes use it mixed with just a little water (again no sugar) to make scented paintings. Also along with using the lemon to clean out a dishwasher you can add a little baking soda and water and use it to defunk coolers that may have lingering odors from past use. |
