| D-I-Y makeup brush cleaner help I'm trying to make a M.A.C. Cosmetics brush cleaner but I'm running into a problem with the conditioner. Can I use a leave-in treatment spray instead of leave-in conditioner? Thanks!

I have no idea. I would love to know though. I usually use Sephora daily brush cleaner or Cliniques version. Both good but that money adds up.

| I'm not having any luck finding a simple leave-in conditioner spray-just the leave-in treatment spray. I think I'm going to take a chance on treatment spray and wait for a rock bottom price since I only use cream conditioner. Thanks for your input and I'll let you know how it turns out.

Is the "No More Tangles" a leave in conditioner? Maybe that could work... Sent from my iPhone using AFullCup |

| I'm not sure if it is or not but thanks for the tip. While I was rearranging my stockpile in the bathroom closet, I found a bottle of liquid leave-in conditioner. I try it tomorrow since my bottles will be dry by then.

| I made my knockoff concoction yesterday and I'm happy with the results (who knew that high school chemistry would impact my life)! I made a hybrid mixture of kissesfromjordan and enkore's recipes on youtube: 1 large measuring cup 1 cup purified water 1/4 cup witch hazel (I used witch hazel since I have sensitive skin, but kfj and enkore use 70 to 91 percent alcohol) 1/2 tbsp dish soap (Any dish soap will do-I used Seventh Generation) 1/2 tbsp baby shampoo (You can use any liquid shampoo) 1 tbsp liquid leave-in conditioner Optional: 1 drop red/blue or purple food coloring (If it must look like the real thing... )1) Pour water in measuring cup 2) Add witch hazel to measuring cup 3) Add dish soap and shampoo 4) Add conditioner 5) Put one drop of purple or red and blue food coloring in mixture. Slowly stir for an estimated 15 seconds. 6) Pour into your container. Voilà, you just saved $13+tax ![]() Thank you all for posting!

Awesome! Is this the DIY version of a daily spray on cleaner or the once weekly deep cleaner? Sent from my iPhone using AFullCup |

| This is the spray I'll be using as a weekly quick clean leading up to the monthly cleaning.

Does anyone have a daily version? I have severe acne and only have one set of brushes so I clean my brushes after every use.

You should be able to get away with using the spray everyday-just tweak the recipe to your skin care needs. There is a video on youtube by MissJayC04 for a daily cleanser, but she uses the same ingredients from the videos I watched. HTH.

I was thinking the daily cleanser would probably just have more alcohol so it dries quickly?

| I think the reason most recipes call for a high alcohol content is to disinfect the brushes. However, I could be wrong.
