Not a great idea with kids, the glass is thin and fragile and little hands and feet will get cut. You can pick up dry erase boards in $1 bins. I know I picked up a midsized one for less then $4 at kmart.

I agree. I'm an adult and I've still managed to cut myself on picture frame glass! Not to mention the million I've broken (and running down the hall trying to show mommy your picture would likely not turn out well if the kiddo tripped or dropped it).

I like the idea of writing on sliding doors, though. And back when we had a bigger mirror, DH and I would always write notes to each other with dry erase pens.

Oooooh I should try this. I made one using a white poster board, some transparent tape and washable markers but the markers would smear and get accidentally rubbed off so it wasn't exactly the best solution.

Permanent pen removal and tub crayons

In response to the extra scrubbing of the permanent marker to remove: try rubbing alcohol. It removes the marker from glass in a breeze.

In response to the bathroom mirror: Tub crayons on ceramic tiles are great to take notes when the idea fairy whispers in your ear in the shower. You don't have to get out and make a puddle to write on your mirror when the idea hits in the middle of your shower.

This post is very old. Most of the people above are not very active members anymore. Don't want you to waste your time because most of these people won't be coming back to check the responses anymore.
