My DS is 5 today and I would love to take him for something special for "free" like McDonalds, Wendy's, etc. Any ideas on which places do this? Thanks.

This is a good idea. My DD's birthday is this month and would like to do this for her. Any ideas?

I know your DS's birthday is past, but looking forward to next year, you might want to get on some of the websites and register his birthday and sign up for freebies. I know places like Cold Stone, Baskin Robins, chain restaurants, Captain D's, Dairy Queen, and others offer a coupon for a free treat on your birthday (and usually a week or so after).

McD's has a b-day program, but you have to sign up like 2 months in advance to get the email with a free Happy Meal. BK has one, Sonic has one, Village Inn and Dennys have them. I don't know if Wendys does.
